    Lockable Gas Cap 2017 F-150

New to forum, just bought a 2017 F-150 Crew Cab Lariat w/Eco. Love the vehicle but am having a hard time trying to find a lockable gap cap. I had some sketchy folks milling around the truck last night and was not worried about fuel theft, more concerned about them dumping some crap in it. Went to the Ford parts site as well as amazon and could not find a lockable gap cap. Any suggestions??

There are no locking fuel caps available for the 15+ F150 that I know of yet. There is, however, a locking fuel door.

When i was looking at my friends new Raptor, i noticed now Ford has 2 latches factory, is this how yours is OP? It has a plastic flapper, followed by another flapper. that goes in tank.

older models did not have two flappers, just one. I run a locking cap here bc it keeps dirt and dust out. People across fords line up would get EVAP codes after XX miles due to dirt building up around flapper. With this new set up, Ford essentially fixed this. The only reason for locking cap now would be to prevent someone from putting stuff in your gas tank which FYI you need the funnel (provided in truck) to get the flappers open.

I have a 2013, and I too have a Locking Gas Cap. In my youth, I have had idiots put crap into my gas filler ... not fun to clean out.

Since then, I have ALWAYS had a locking gas cap (if it didn't have a locking gas door). I like the one I got from my Ford dealer as it is flush, so it won't be ripped off with a pipe wrench (someone did that to our Company trucks). Of course if someone desperately wants to get it off, they can do it. But I always figure that if it makes mine more difficult than the vehicle next door, the thieves will go somewhere else first.

PS: When I bought my Locking Gas Cap, the Parts Department asked me if I wanted someone to install it for me (for a $25 fee). I chuckled and said "I'll take a shot myself".
