    Ecoboost timing Chain replacement

So i had the phaser rattle and the engine started throwing the P0016 codes. So i did as much research as i could to figure out how to do this work myself as my truck was out of warranty. So I tore the truck down and replaced the chain phasers and guides. I couldnt find a complete write-up and figured id see if anyone would be interested. I signed up for a ford service thing so i could get access to all the torque specifications. There are im sure a lot of people out there who have trucks out of warranty and dont want to spend 3000$ to have the dealer perform this work. So post up and if there is enough interest ill put something together for the job. Honestly its not that hard just time consuming and very few special tools are actually needed.

There was a small write up at f150forum but a more detailed one would be amazing especially if you took step by step pics but that's quite time consuming during the job.

Special tools being a cam holding tool and crank pulley remover?

It would be great and we could get a sticky with all the parts referenced in the tsb etc and torque specs.

I know if it happens again on my truck I'll be doing it myself.

I dont have step by step pictures but i can provide a lot of part numbers and the tools and techniques that I used. Ill get something together. It will at least get people in the right direction to be able to do the job themselves.

That would be awesome. I'll have to do it one day, and maybe I'll put together all of it from what I can from photos and descriptions around to do as much detailed write up as I can, post it on my site. Unless mine gets worse and I have to do it in spring.

Anyways write up and any additional info would be very helpful. I got a kid on the way coming very soon and no $3k to be spending yup that would be me, that guy. Haha.

Thanks for any info you post.

I think normal file attachment will work when you are posting, otherwise you'd have to use external stuff for hosting it, getting the link and posting it here. (ie. Dropbox, Google Drive, etc..)

I can host files, if you can't find anywhere else to do it from.
