Hey everyone my name is matt I'm new to the ecoboost forum I bought my ecoboost last week on Wednesday! It's a 2012 Ford F-150 ecoboost lariat 4x4 with the heavy tow package and 3.55 gears! It's gets about 19city 21 hwy all stock and I'm super proud to own a ecoboost! It's a hell of a truck
Yes old man traded it in because he didn't want to buy tires for it so dealership hooked me up with new tires and a lot more! Has 63xxx extremely well kept and I love the heated and cooled seats!
Yea I test drove both when I bought my 2.7. I couldn't really tell a difference between the two. Plus I needed mpg for my commute and trips so I chose the 2.7.
Welcome aboard Matt. Good looking truck.
Like mentioned above, change the plugs, and also the coil boots. Coils don't need replacement until they are found to be defective.
Okay thanks guy for the knowledge hopefully it's turns out to be a great truck like I hope! Can't wait for my first trip towing the jeep and trailer somewhere to see how it does

The 2.7's can be pretty frugal with gas, and seat of the pants, feel pretty close to the 3.5. I bought a 2016 2.7 in August. Pretty solid 20mpg in town, and as high as 27mpg on the highway at 70mph. Very impressed with this engine.
