Pretty sure Mobil 1, along with others, will get certification as well.
I'm pretty sure the semi syn Motorcraft oil would fail this.
A catch can that keeps most oil from entering the intake will also help with preventing LSPI.
Oh yeah... DON"T LUG YOUR ENGINE should also help.

Looks like there's the answer @mass-hole Obviously they know there's an issue and way more ecoboost engines are blowing then should be

I get it. And I remember you stressing this to me so much way back when. But this isn't a manual transmission. We shouldn't have to take over shifting. If I do, I want a clutch pedal.

I certainly don't want it to lug. Sport mode helps. But no matter what with light pedal input at 60 or better the thing is pretty sure it can just boost and pull out of the situation. Which it can.

LSPI is not a new phenomenon, and doesn't just happen with DI engines. All forced induction engines suffer from LSPI. DI is just more prone because the blowby isn't being diluted with fuel from MPFI.
If oil isn't getting into the combustion chamber, then there's little chance of LSPI happening.

It sounds like it'll be a market standard that most all synthetic oils will have to meet. No?
