I have a 2013 Supercrew 4X4 w/3.55 and 1956 miles at this time. Combined(city and exp way) 15.8, on the highway at cruise 19.5 never broke the 20 spot yet
Just got my 2013 Supercrew 4x4 Eco w/3.55 and so far with just a few hundred miles and driving it very gingerly to obtain the best fuel mileage, I am not real impressed. 15 to 16 hwy is not what I expected. Its fuel mileage is still better than my 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab 4x4 5.3 w/3.2, but just slightly. I sure hope I din't make a big mistake not getting the 5.0 engine.
Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I don't buy a truck for gas mileage. I have been buying Ford trucks since 1971. Wouldn't have anything else . I don't care What the mileage is!
Easter weekend road trip. Dallas Texas to Baton Rouge Louisiana. 17.7 mpg on drive down and 17.9 on drive home. Avg between 70-75 mph both ways. Just my luck I was driving into 15-20 mph head wind both ways.
Real numbers, 2012 Super Crew 4x4, max trailer tow with 373 axle , 10,000 miles with Lear cab high cap 14 cty/ 18.7 hwy moderate tip ins no additives. That's it am I am not a happy camper. I anticipated better fuel economy after spending almost $54,000.00 out the door.
Just returned from our Winter Excurison 6125 miles from Michigan to Arkansas, Texas, Louisaina, Mississippi, Tennessee, & Kentucky.
Over all mileage 10.8 MPG. Trailer towing mileage not above 8 MPG. I am not happy with mileage. Truck pulls our 27 foot travel trailer OK but, wish the suspension was a bit more sturdy. We get 17 - 18 MPG without the trailer. My truck is 2013 Screw XLT 6 1/2 box, max towing pkg w/ leer cab high cap.
I have a 2011 F150EB XLT 4X4 Crew Cab with 21000 miles and this has been the most disappointing truck, of any make, I have ever owned. The gas mileage sucks and has from day one. I have been getting about 16 to 17 mpg combined driving. When I tried to pull a 12' enclosed trailer, the mpg dropped to 10.5. Even after unloading the trailer I still only got 10.5 mpg. The overall performance of the EB has also been very disappointing. Just driving around town, it won't go up a normal overpass on the xway without down shifting. I would not reccommend the EB in any thing larger than a 2 wheel drive single cab pickup. I will never own another one. I can hardly wait untill I can trade this "boat anchor" in on a good ole' V-8.
as a new owner-to-be I am still looking for anyone with an opinion about which rear axle to get the 3:31 or 3:55 for a non-towing non-hauling user. All responses welcome.
