    Sync 3 problems

I've read other threads where the new Sync 3 system will act up but after 2-3 restarts it goes back to normal. I've owned my truck for nearly 2 months and 3,000 miles. My Sync 3 is acting up again.

Acting up: the music/stereo portion of Sync 3 show the power is off, but actually retains last FM station. I can change volume, but that's it. Also, the voice recognition doesn't function.

Does anyone have a better fix? I've master reset 3 times and still not working. What causes this? When will Ford update software? Crappy $45,000 system.

I have had the same issue. A master reset doesn't work. The only way I have got it to work again turning the truck off and keeping it off for at least 10 minutes. I have also heard trying to put in a CD works but I haven't tried it yet.

    What's a CD?

    Joking.

Anybody else upgraded to 1.1 - and this go away?

The Sync 3 system will allow you to update via a WiFi network, but I am not sure if Ford has made the update available yet outside the dealer network. I tried a couple of weeks ago and the update was not available.

Yeah, but it came with a free truck!

Self updating to 1.1 has not been released.

I wonder what causes it? I have an iPhone 6s that my work provides for me, but working at a financial institution they lock it down pretty serious. No SIRI, active web management, etc. I wonder if that is the catalyst... meaning, when work makes some kind of update, it doesn't sync with the truck. See what I did there?

When your dealer checked for you, did they plug your truck into their computer or did they just tell you there was no 1.1?
