Forgive my ignorance, what is the significance of this?

It is inline with the latest gm V6 design and away from the ones sitting at the front of the block on the crankshaft.
    F150 is my preferred ride.

Day after Christmas traded my 2011 3.5 ecoboost supercrew in on this 2016 2.7
This truck was an import from Canada, made in the US. Thus the XTR 4x4 on back of box. It also has a standard option block heater. (you can see the plug inside lower rt of license plate)
Also had a VERY loud back up alarm like a school bus or heavy equipment would have. This was an option on the window sticker and I had it disconnected the first day I owned it.
So far I have put about 3000 miles on her and I would say it is quicker than my old 3.5 and definitely gets better fuel mpg. So far on this winter gas I have averaged 20.1 since purchase with a mix of highway and rural driving. The Ford Dealer I purchased this from is located near northern border of NY and imports these regularly with less than 20k miles. I got a very good price on it and so far am very happy with it. Can't wait to play with the backing assist!Name: new truck rt side.jpg
