    Tow Mirrors ?

    Hey all,
So I just recently picked up my 2018 F150 FX4 Screw 3.5L EB and have the tow package but I don't have the tow mirrors. I've been told a few different things about getting OEM vs Aftermarket and was wondering if anyone here had any actual knowledge and/or experience using the aftermarket tow mirrors vs the OEM Ford ones? I'm going to call and get prices from a few dealerships as I think the guy at my dealership when I bought it this last weekend was trying to royally rip me off. A friend of mine got his tow mirrors for his 15' F150 and they were about $500 from Ford, and $300 online, so I asked about them for my 18' and the guy at the dealership told me that they were $700 a piece. Sounds like a lot for mirrors, so if anyone has any info on it I'd appreciate it. Thanks guys. New F150 owner and new to the site, but not new to Fords. I traded in a Explorer for the F150 and also have a 79' F250 so just new to the new F series is all. Thanks for all of your guys' help in advance.

Depends on your trim and/or what features you want.

I have a 17 Lariat with BLIS, puddle lamp, spot lamp, heated, power fold, turn light. I wanted to keep all of my functions and add power extend. I bought oem... They're expensive but I got what I wanted.

I have the same exact set up to include the tow package without the tow mirrors. I bought these off Amazon to tow my 24' enclosed trailer. Works great and I can see all the way down both sides and cars behind me. I have the chrome mirrors. There is a thick foam strip inside to protect my mirror.

I had the same thing at first. They're better than nothing. I bought the tow mirrors after wards. I just wanted more mirror. But the attachments do work pretty good.

I've always preferred original brand equipment on my F-150. It may cost more but I think the level of quality is better.

That's BS...you buy a new 2018 F-150 with tow package and did not get tow mirrors. I would have demanded tow mirrors before taking delivery of the truck.

If you have a lower trim leve, don't have BLIS and don't expect power fold/extend the aftermarket ones work fine. I have syppo brand mirrors on my truck, just don't get the chrome capped ones, mine are bubbling. They function just like the stock ones, work great towing.

Honestly, I don't tow much. Sure, I'm making a once-in-4-year-move with a 24' trailer across country. Other than that, I only tow snowmobiles and smaller Sea Doo boats. I'm not a fan of the big towing mirrors and the fact I don't need them after this long haul. So in the end for me, I like the sharp looking chrome mirrors I have with the capability to tow what I want and slap extended mirrors when I need them.
