    I think the 170° thermostat has something to do with it. But..... I could be wrong.

    Knowing "bean counters" and Ford sold 750,000 F150s in 2014 - Ford wouldn't install something that probably costs $10 (their cost) and spend $7,500,000 needlessly each year.

    Hell, the rumor is GM changed the Name of the Chevy II Nova in 1968 to just Nova to save the $2.00 it cost on each vehicle (about 100,000 year back then). BUT ... then GM couldn't understand why Latin America countries weren't buying the new Nova anymore .... until some noted that Nova meant "No Go" in Spanish.
