Nah she drives an 18 expedition max. The SHO scares her.

That's why I don't drive the wife's Explorer too much... I'd be in jail. It hits triple digits (only on the track, of course) in impressive times for a bone stock vehicle.

If I had the spare coin sitting around, I'd upgrade her to the 2020... it's a 3.0EB, but the engine is mounted the right way and it becomes a body-on-frame RWD/AWD vehicle again... not the current FWD/AWD unibody. Oh, and in the MSP testing, the PI version spanked the AWD Hemi Charger... on everything. Since that version gets rid of the fragile PTU, it would likely be more receptive to tuning as well.

I can think of all kinds of vehicles I would love to "shoehorn" the 3.5 into.

Heck, even the 2.7 would be a screamer in a few well balanced chassis.

This was the most fun I've had since getting my Boost!
This 90` SHO... kicked a lot of as*
5speed....50 series rubber Thunderbird rims, Koni shocks, Huntington Beach Cali SHO SHOP performance parts!
    I wouldn't mind a SHO 3.5 Boost....problem is I believe Ford has dropped the SHO for 2020?

I believe Yamaha engineered that motor in that SHO. That car, when it first arrived on showroom floors was a stunner.

Hard to believe anything that was so fresh could look so dated now.

Note: I was hooliganning around in an SVO Mustang with those adjustable Koni's back then. Also my first car with adjustable tune based on octane. Ford had a toggle switch on the dash.

I had so much fun and got in a fair amount of trouble with law enforcement in that car.

I've slowed way down since then. That car begged for triple digit cruising.

Snake.....OMG, I was soooo close to pulling the trigger on a Black 85` SVO>one of my biggest regret!
I test drive ome back in the day-Wow, I was hooked!
In fact that car could dust the Corvette; Camaro, V8 Stang etc...of that year-period.
    Love, love the SVO.
