    I hope this helps.
Same recommendation here. Your tuner would be your best source.

    I’m running a pretty modified configuration and run the SP-542’s @ .026.

These plugs fall under the “extremely cold” designation from Ford

I think I read somewhere that the correct plug is 7. And the gap should be 7.

29 goes into 29, 29 times. Twanny, twan, twan......

542s at .26. Beats the 350 vortec champion coppers at .56 in the racecar. But we want a hot burn in the old 2 barrel tugboat

Tuner for my 2.7 recommended NGK 6510 gaped .026-.028. OEM plugs pulled were around .030. I used .026 because all my experience was that gaps widen with time and it's a pressurized engine. Have several thousand miles on them now running very well, idle did seem smoother. Happy with the BCB recommendation and will use them again.
Far cry and difference from the plug eating high performance motors of my youth (ran a 68 Z28 that ate plugs quickly). KM

Us hitchhikers are everywhere but you just can't see us. We blend in well with the general population.
