    Tailgate pivot bushings

Does anyone have experience replacing these or have a part number? Took the gate off today and found it’s pretty well rusted and the plastic bushing or whatever you’d call it is broken. I found another thread on a similar topic but for some reason couldn’t post a reply.

Sorry, can't help you with a part number, as I can't even dream of that occurring in my area of the country.. What does the rest of the underside of your truck look like? East Coast salt on the roads in the winter is just a killer of vehicles...

    Good luck!

You didn't say what year, and I assume from the picture that is the driver's side . . . .

That side should have rod inside attached to the tailgate piece shown. All the parts are available at https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/bo...are/100/4#list, but when I get to those little pieces; I find it easier to talk to the guy at the local dealership parts department. I never want to order something that turns out to be the wrong piece.
