Just check the local restrictions in place. Many areas had no open flame in effect in NM. The open pit gas burners were allowed right up until 3 days before the Ute Park fire.

Y'all have fun out there on Independence Day now, ya heah... The weatherman seems to think it's gonna be HOT in most of the country, so take it easy.

We don't go on the big three (Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day)...too many amateurs who don't know or don't practice good camping etiquette. We don't need the aggravation of loud radios, loud conversation during quiet hours, domestic arguments after a few too many adult beverages, people walking through our campsite, barking dogs, unleashed dogs, unsupervised children, etc, etc. Also, on Independence Day there seems to always be some fool in the campground who sets off fireworks, endangering other campers and agitating pets.

If more restrictive gun laws were the answer, then Chicago and California would be the safest places to live.

Now that you remind me, I might need to leave and go camping. Damn neighbor was shooting fireworks. Might be good to attempt to get away from that. Found bottle rockets days later in my yard. My wife had to keep me calmed down. Jackasses.

We are, kinda. Heading to Tennessee for our camping debut in the new "camper". Heading up midday on the 5th and coming back on the 8th.

I was a bit mistaken. Heading to Cove Creek in the Pisgah National Forest. Apparently we've rented a "private meadow."

    Faincy!

Here is my old rig. No slide though so it felt cramped. 1500 bones for the camper though, and some elbow grease after that.
