Squealing under boost from passenger side

My truck just developed a loud squeal when I step on the gas. This only happens under boost and when cold. I recently added an oil cooler and transmission cooler but that should have zero effect. It started after I towed my trailer up steep grades in 110 degrees. Never had it overheat though. Any thoughts?

Are you saying you hear it when the engine is cold, and you hear it when its warmed up and you step on the gas?

Could you have a belt/pulley issue?

sounds like a warped exhaust manifold. Pretty common...especially after working the engine hard towing like that. They are a notorious weak point and the leak closes up a bit when everything expands once warm. When it's cold you can really hear the turbo through the leak.

If you are getting on the throttle hard under boost when its cold (engine), that's not very good for the engine. You may have caused damage to something. Can you get a video?

It would be helpful if you posted a more in depth reply. I can't sit here and speculate all the possibilities.

Without hearing your truck, I can't say for sure. But with your description, I would tend to believe it's probably a warped and leaking exhaust manifold.

Angry cricket...........perfect description. I was camping and tried to post a video, but it wasn’t happening. When I got back to town I took it to the dealer. Exactly what most of you suspected, an exhaust manifold. Thanks for the replies....
