Post HOW TO: 2015+ Drivers Seat Pan Loose when Turning (TSB 18-2361)

For those of you 2015+ F150 owners, you may have noticed that your drivers side seat pan (cushion) moves side to side slightly after making consecutive turns in opposite directions. This is due to the gap between the plastic bushing under the seat and the end of the metal support tube (see below). There is currently a TSB out for this problem but to save time of going to the dealership, many people have chosen to perform this fix on their own. This fix took me about 20 minutes. If you have a Lariat or above trim package, there are a few more steps involved with this fix. The actual TSB from Ford is below in an attachment.

    What you need:
    • 2" section of 3/4" heater hose from AutoZone/O'Reilly/Pep Boys/ETC
    • (2) SAE #10 hose clamps (9/16"-1 1/16"; 14mm-27mm)
    • 1/4" drive 7 mm socket
    • 1/4" drive ratchet or screwdriver
    • Cordless impact driver (makes job easier)

Items needed on Lariat trims and higher
    • T25 Torx bit
    • T45 Torx bit
    • T55 Torx bit

    Total Cost: $4.27

    Steps:
    1. Adjust the seat to the highest and most rear position
    2. Cut 3/4" heater hose into two 1" sections
    3. Slice/cut a slit in heater hose down the middle
    4. Install the pre-cut heater hose over the steel tube
    5. Open the hose clamp and wrap it around the heater hose
    6. Push the heater hose against bushing and tighten the hose clamp all the way down
    7. Repeat steps 4-6 on other side of steel tube

**On Lariat and higher trim models, you will need to remove the power seat control module and/or trim valance**

Finished pictures: (I had to use longer hose clamps due to Home Depot being out of the correct size)

The reason this TSB calls for 1" section of heater hose is due to the "bulge" located under the seat and would make installation harder.

I have had all the parts for like two months but haven't had the time to do it. Hopping to fix it soon because it drives me nuts.
