I wonder why it's silent sometimes and like the video above others?

I can hear a similar noise with mine from inside, but i don't think mines the HPFP, at least that's what i have found with a stethoscope. My dads '18 with more miles is almost silent other than injector noise.

Anybody hearing the noise draw some oil out and do an oil analysis???

It can't be hydraulic lifters or valve lash settings on these motors.

    Second thoughts

When I I first started reading up on the F150 Ecoboost - I want to say HPFPs were priced North of $300. But now they are more reasonable at around $130 (Ford OEM).

If I truly had a question or concern with the HPFP - I would not hesitate to replace it.

What did you say? Huh? What? Hear what?

I can can barely hear mine outside, no way I can hear it inside.

And noI don't want a hearing aide, silence is golden!

High iron is a bad thing right? That's coming from the actual engine, correct?

I have been able to hear mine on both my 2016 and now the 2018 3.5 since new. Not really unexpected considering the pressures the HPFP generates. That being said, it's not very loud, but easy to notice if you are listening for it.
