This is the first I've heard of the newer ones needing a hole but at the very worst, it can't hurt.

    Thanks for the reading suggestion!

Any idea of when they will be available for the 12th gen trucks??

So I see the shutters are the fix, if the shutters have been removed it would seem that a weep hole may be needed. Would Ford deny warranty for a weep hole or would they notice?

Probably wouldn't even notice such a small hole but you can't say for sure. Can't see then voiding a warranty for it either but again... you can't say for sure

I think this really depends on climate and geographic location, I live in AZ and had a 2011 3.5 for 5 years with zero issues on stock CAC with condensation or oil gunk. I've had my 17 3.5 for 2.5 years now with zero issues also. Slapped on the mishimoto CAC about 9 months ago and when I pulled stock CAC there was no gunk or water in CAC.

There was a bunch of oil and gunk inside my oem cac and in the charge pipes each time I've pulled it/them for whatever reason. I'm sure the Wagner is the same way.

I was thinking about that too. I live in West Texas so I don't know if I'll have those issues.

Normally I don't worry about condensation.

That's not really the right word for it.
Today it'd be more concern with DROWNING the intake. Lol
