    New 2019 Ford F-150 2.7 Eco

Well hey guys. New owner of a 2019 2.7 STX 4x4, this is the first turbo vehicle I’ve owner. First off I wanna say. These trucks are bada$$. Great job Ford. Very impressive. Still can’t get over a 2.7 v6 TT having this type of power. I have a couple questions about the truck if anyone could educate me.

    1. How do you check the boost PSI ? How much boost do these turbos put out ?

    2. Truck currently has 4K miles. Bought a demo vehicle at a good price. Is there any Engine Break in period ?

    3. What Oct gas do you put in this truck. I filled up with 93octane today. Always herd turbo setups require higher octane.

    4. Anyone notice hard downshifts when in Sport Mode ? 4th to 3rd is real noticeable.

    5. Any plug in tuners to get more boost out of these turbos ?

Thanks for any help. Loving this forum so far. 🙂

Usually with a tuner or a obd2 adapter to your phone or tablet etc

    2. Truck currently has 4K miles. Bought a demo vehicle at a good price. Is there any Engine Break in period ?

Honestly no clue but thats likely enough miles as is

    3. What Oct gas do you put in this truck. I filled up with 93octane today. Always herd turbo setups require higher octane.

As i'm tuned i run shell 91 exclusively

    4. Anyone notice hard downshifts when in Sport Mode ? 4th to 3rd is real noticeable.

Not on mine but yours may be relearning to your habits

    5. Any plug in tuners to get more boost out of these turbos ?

Best bet is to search the forum or check the performance section

    5. Any plug in tuners to get more boost out of these turbos ? Probably something that can handle a 5 Star tune is best. That engine is a beast with the 5 Star I saw (better than the Coyote with a 5 Star).

Tire pressure. Sticker says 35psi cold. Seems a bit low for 275/55R20 ?

In theory it gives your ecu a higher ceiling for throwing timing at the motor, which in turn increases the potential power you have on tap.

It's all about software and sensors these days.
