    Offset front license plate

Sorry if there's already been a post about this. I tried to search it and couldn't find anything.

Is there any specific reason that the newer Ecoboosts don't come with the offset front license plate frames? I'm in CA and I have to rock one unfortunately, but mine came with a centered one and I'd like to offset mine if I could. How do the offset ones attach? Does anyone know if it would block any of the new sensors if I could find an offset mount and bolt it up? My current one is just a big air dam.

    Thanks!

    Joe

The OCD in me would never be comfortable with an offset front license plate, so when I upgraded the intercooler and removed the shutter blades, I just bolted it down lower...

You'll be searching for a while. The few I've seen on trucks have all been made by the person driving it. I can't believe there is not some kind of aftermarket for it after having it out for 5 years.

Yes, unless you have adaptive cruise control (I think), but use some washers because it is just thin plastic.

If you have adaptive cruise control, couldn't you just mount the plate on the passenger side?

I thought there were sensors on both sides but I am wrong. It is only on the passenger's side.
So yes, you could move it there.

The service guy I talked to this morning told me I had sensors in both black square/rectangles I'm glad I waited until I talked to them.. even though he's probably wrong. I guess I could get underneath and see if there's wires running into them or something along those lines.
