    Spark plug gap

I can't find a definite anwer but I am changing the plugs in my 2012 fx4 with the SP534.

What gap should it be for stock motor and running 87 all the time. They all came at .30 so is that fine to use?

Mine stock was .045 I never had a problem out of that until I installed a tune. I got mine at 032 most of the guys on here will say 028_030. however most of us are running a tune I would say if you someday in the future plan on using a tune mine as well go with that. if you're not running a tune, I'd say go with somewhere between our advice in what Ford set your OEM to.

    The manual says
    ".030-.033 in.
    .75-.85 mm"

That said, the standard answers I see on here are:
    Not tuned .030 in.
    Tuned .028 in

My 2013 had 3 plugs gapped at .042.

I can't wait for the new set of plugs to get here....

sounds about where mine were. Took mine out right before getting tuned and put them all down to .030. 45 minute job with a few brews.

Now I have to do my fiance's plugs in her Subaru Forester this weekend. If it was as bad as it was in my Legacy I might need someone to bring over an extra case of beer.

Are you getting the new MSD plugs? We have been putting them in all our SC and turbo builds, and have yet to have misfire issues under big boost like was common before. Really like them.
