Love this thread, I just finished reading all the posts and I'm all caught up... thank you for the continued updates! I just purchased a 2019 3.5 EB and I'm keeping a personal log like this to keep track of things. I'm really enjoying the truck so far!

How did you like the new Drain plug? I'm about to do my first oil change, and after reading about your experience with the dealership oil change, I'm just going to do it myself. Thanks again!

The plug seems very well put together. My main goal was an easier oil change. You can put a length of hose on the drain adapter and put it right in the drain pan.

Just to be clear, there is nothing wrong with the yellow plugs and they are reusable and inexpensive. I wanted something I could use without taking off the underbody cover pan every time. I modified mine by cutting a hole and with the Ronin plug and a piece of hose I should be able to make less mess, fewer trips underneath the truck, and shorten my oil change time.

Next change Iíll post pics and let you know how it goes. I think it will work just fine!

2.7 EB long term updates (normal guy)

Yesterday I got my UPR valve cover crank case breather in the mail. In theory it should assist with positive crankcase ventilation.

It replaces your oil fill cap on the drivers side and they make it for several ecoboost engines. The top filter is to keep the fumes from blowing out to the engine bay and is replaceable. It is easy to remove and in a couple of weeks Iíll check to see what if anything has come out.

It has a one way pressure valve inside and only opens when pressure builds too much, which is a problem with forced induction engines (sometimes).

When I took the fill cap off after driving for about an hour, a cloud of vapor floated out of the valve cover! Never really been a fan of exhaust gas recirculation in any engine.

    $70 for this little jewel.

    $2,624+70= $2,694

Iíll report back with observations and impressions, long term updates continue.

I guess the Admin's fixed the thread because I can now see all posts. I'm still not seeing it pop up in any of the forum areas.

Update: UPR valve cover crankcase breather.

My 2.7 did not like this little jewel, either that or my part had a bad pressure relief valve. I just checked it and I had some oil blow by. A few ounces, less than 3 or 4 I would guess by looking at the dip stick. It soaked through the air breather on top and blew out over the front of the valve cover. I'm disappointed to say the least.

I'm at work now and its dark outside. I will try to get pics of the mess in the next day or two. I had kept the fill cap in a plastic bag in the truck and it went back in. I'll let you know what UPR customer service says when I contact them.

    Long term updates continue...

Not a whole lot of oil blew out but enough to make me concerned. All stock and a few brief WOT runs up the on ramps here. Installed for 9 days and right at a thousand miles.
