Have 2013 F-150 crew Eco-boost. The inverter just stopped working, fuses are good. Anyone have an idea? I read somewhere that receptacle can actually go bad or be defective.

No meter check yet. The green LED indicator light is not illuminated either. That tells me no power. I'll try the meter, but I know there no voltage there. Dealer wants an appointment, nonsense

Hmm seems odd! I bet if you pull it out the conductors fell off the back! Dumb question but just verifying, you do have the truck turned on when your checking for power correct?

What have you been using it to power? Could be in overload protection mode.


110 Volt AC Power Point (If Equipped)
WARNING: Do not keep electrical devices plugged in the power point whenever the device is not in use. Do not use any extension cord with the 110 volt AC power point, since it will defeat the safety protection design. Doing so may cause the power point to overload due to powering multiple devices that can reach beyond the 150–watt load limit and could result in fire or serious injury. Note: The cap should always be closed whenever the power point outlet is not in use. Note: The power point will turn off after 13 minutes if the ignition is on without the engine running. Keep the engine running to use the power point. The 110–volt AC power point outlet is used for powering electrical devices that require up to 150 watts. Exceeding the 150–watt limit will cause the power point to cut off the power temporarily to provide overload protection. The power point is located on the back of the center console.


The power point is not designed for the following electric appliances; they may not work properly:
• Cathode-ray, tube-type televisions
• Motor loads, such as vacuum cleaners, electric saws and other electric power tools, compressor-driven refrigerators, etc.
• Measuring devices that process precise data, such as medical equipment, measuring equipment, etc.
• Other appliances requiring an extremely stable power supply: microcomputer-controlled electric blankets, touch sensor lamps, etc.

The power point can switch to a fault mode when it is overloaded, overheated or shorted. Unplug your device and turn the ignition off then on for overloading and shorting conditions. Let the system cool off, then turn the ignition off then on for an overheating condition. The power point can provide power whenever the ignition is on and the indicator light is on. The indicator light is located in the top left corner of the power point.
When the indicator light is:
• on — power point is ready to supply power
• off — power point power supply is off; ignition is not on
• blinking — power point is in fault mode

They just stop working... Never really disassembled one or looked any furthur into it... But my dealer stocks them... We replace the all the time... Especially in the super dutys

one thing i have noticed with the faulty ones... Is that they feel very loose when you plug into them

So, are you confirming it is likely the socket or outlet (BC3Z-19N236) itself and not the inverter (BL3Z-19G317)?

Its The plug itself..this is a common failure.... I dont know the part numbers... Those part numbers you listed are only partial... You didnt include any suffix at the end of each...
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I tried everything possible before reaching parts. Seems obvious now that the receptacle itself has gone bad. Maybe just a loose connection in the receptacle, I wonder if I can tighten the inside guys without destroying the unit. I'll keep the thread updated. Thank you

No blinking led, just off. No power, tried dozens of times turning car on/off. The big issue is the inconvenience of going to dealer for small issue, the time and bs. Need inverter plug, driving to FL in two weeks.

Hey guys I actually have a 2011 King ranch with every option available for that time. I was told the unit will be under the center console but turns out my sony amp is there. Any idea where else it could be?

Mine seems to work when it wants to. There is no rhyme or reason to why it doesn't work when it doesn't. Or not that I can figure out.
