Hi All,
We just got back from our trip to the UP and it was great!
The EcoBeast performed flawlessly for just under 1200 miles of heavy towing. We loaded the trailer with provisions and clothes for 9 days. I am guessing we were right around 8800-9000 lbs behind the bumper. We had about 200lbs of gear in the bed, and we had 2 adults and 4 kids in the cab.
The drive up through WI and across the UP to the Soo was perfect towing conditions. No wind, no rain, about 72 degrees. The trip back was another story. 17-20 mph steady x-winds gusting to 30-35. The EB took it all in stride and did everything I asked of it. We managed 10.7 mpg average for the entire trip. I am extremely pleased with this truck and the performance.
