2 Wheel or 4 Wheel to Launch??

I want to take the eco to the track before I put all the new parts on it and didn't know how you guys launch it? I drag raced many Mustangs and just bring up the rpms and let the clutch go. You want to power brake it and let the brake go. 2 Wheel or 4 Wheel? Also if you do it in 4 wheel do I need to put it back into 2 wheel while I'm going down the track?? I also heard that you will get full boost if you only go 3/4 on the gas instead of going full throttle is that true?

Thanks everyone,
Kevin

As far as I know the FX4 transfer case will NOT shift out of 4wd if it senses a load. So good luck getting it to shift out of 4wd after your 60ft.

I believe most just give it throttle under braking to bring up boost and then floor it in 4wd to get the best stock runs.

OK thank you. When I get a chance to take it up there I will do it in 4 high. 4 wheel dive be OK doing that to it?? Should I also lock the rear end?

I have a buddy with a 89 vette with 230,000 miles on it and he thinks I don't have a chance against him with my 13 Eco. All I have done is Afe stage 2 cai and Afe blade runner. What do you guys think? Should I bet him

I'm not to sure. I've only had my Eco for 3 weeks now and have not race anyone or seen what this thing can do until I hit 1000 miles on it. Should be a good race of what I've seen on here. It sounds like the Eco's can run pretty good. :D

I raced my parents 2011 CTS-V. It destroyed me how ever it is the supercharged v8 and has a bit of work done to it. I think you would have a fairly good chance at the 89 vette especially with those miles.

Yeah the CTS-V are pretty fast. I want to race one in my Mustang and see how well I would do.

Only thing I have gone to the track with was a lancer I had. But I am hoping to at least get a good base line for the truck.

I smoked 2 mazda 6 "speed" editions at the track last month, they are the AWD turbo 2.3 units, smoked both of them. They were pretty pissed off, then I proceeded to beat 2 turbo junky civics and one 2013 Dodge Ram with every bolt-on besides forced induction.....the guy wouldnt even talk to me after the race.
