2011-2014 Ford F150 EcoBoost 3.5L 5 Star Tuning, Borla & BorgWarner Turbo Upgrade Kit

Borla's NEW Turbo Upgrade for the 2011-2014 F150 EcoBoost 3.5L brings new larger turbos that are direct bolt-on factory unit replacements manufactured and warrantied by BorgWarner.

Standard in the Phase 3 kit is also Borla's cat back system and down pipe with cat or no cat and with 5 Stars custom calibration; which was used in development of this kit in July of 2015.

Behind scenes development of this kit started out with BorgWarner supplying their own F150 EcoBoost 3.5L for development to Borla and 5 Star Tuning. After the development of the Borla exhaust and down pipe , 5 Star worked on developing a specific calibration for the Borla Upgrade kit. Once the BorgWarner company truck was returned to BorgWarner , BorgWarner put over 10,000 miles on this kit towing and daily driving to confirm this package meets all of Borla's and BorgWarner's requirements.

Bottom line the kit passed meeting all requirements with out issue. This is a tribute to all 3 companies working together to bring a quality kit to the aftermarket that meets or exceeds your F150 will run just like from the factory but with MORE HP & TQ!

Are these the GT turbos? Or similar? Can the turbos be purchased separately, as I already have an off-road downpipe and high flow intake, and would like to keep the stock cat-back because of the way these trucks sound?

These are the same exact turbo that you are mentioning. Nothing different whatsoever

a lot of guys are reporting that their tuners are limiting tq to just 475-500ft lbs where as you guys seem happy to push that up towards 600. any comments on your opinions for reliability/longevity of that?

dnellans, With these kits we tested them very thoroughly in a variety of test scenarios including towing upwards of 10k. We torture tested our trucks prior to handing them over to Borla. Borla did their due diligence in testing the builds. Once they were happy with the results they handed the trucks over to BorgWarner. Borg torture tested the vehicles for over 10,000 miles. All vehicles held up extremely well and have had 0 issues between them and have held up just as well as a stock build.

thanks for response! do you guys still do P/T vs perf tunes with the upgrade (speaking of towing?) or just a single tune also deemed safe for towing?

You're welcome! We do offer performance/tow hybrids in 87, 89, 91 and 93 octanes as well as performance only tunes in 91 or 93 octanes. If you're running the perf/tow you'll see added performance while maintaining full towing capacity.
