Hello everyone on my way to work this morning my dash started going crazy.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any information is great.

Could be low voltage and/or bad ground. We've seen it before on here.
Or a bad connection. Or rodent-induced wiring damage. Did the truck exhibit any other driveability concerns while the cluster was going stupid?
Well one of my workers just informed me that when they were jumping my boom truck one of them hooked the cables up backwards and then connected to my truck about a week ago.

Thats probably part of the issue?

Yesterday morning it wouldn't let me use blinkers or anything. Sounded like it was shifting into 4WD
Uh. Oh. Maybe that's not it. Surely there is protection built in for that. I hope so.
Anyone gonna get fired ?
Occasionally, my radio and centre display (small XLT) go "weird". But, 9/10 I just turn off and restart, and all is fine.

That one time, I drove for a while, and eventually when I stopped and restarted, all returned to normal.

It happens once or twice a year. I just ignore it as it cannot be replicated.

I'd be looking at the battery (how old, and what type?), grounds, and anywhere a critter might have been.

I did a hard reset (disconnected my negative battery terminal) for 15 minutes and every thing is working fine now.

Well it happened again. I'm bringing it in to the dealership tomorrow.
Let us know.
Well it has been at the ford dealership for over a month and they limited it down to a module in the high-speed network.
So did you get it fixed.
I have a 2013 f150 ecoboost platinum. Going down the road my cluster and radio and AC goes out. Then back on and off again. Just curious of what to do. My local dealer doesn’t want to work on it. It stayed there three weeks.
Intermittent electrical issues are the WORST. I can't say I don't blame them. It's basically a replace, check, repeat situation to hunt down the gremlins.

There have been several threads on this over the years. Some have stated main ground (behind the headlight), alternator or plug to alternator, wiring connectors in the passenger kick panel, transmission module. Like Dan said, there are a lot of electronics in new trucks these days. Ruling them out is a PITA.
No not 100% fixed. They wrapped my wiring, replaced a couple modules and it still happens. The codes they were getting pointed to the high speed network, now they more so believe it's my alternator or rack and pinion. It really is a needle in a hay stack. All though hudson ford had my truck for 2 months with a lot of shop time and my bill was under a grand.

But I'm thinking it is a wiring or ground issue because it's only happened once in the last month.

my 2013 does this. Put new battery not fixed.
let me know if you fix it.
Not sure. It happened on the day I picked my truck up from the shop months ago and hasn't happened since.
