2012 fx4 boost cycling

my 2012 fx4 is cycling boost on factory tune 15psi-7psi over and over around like 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. I put a 5star tune on it i also get the same thing but with pressures being 20-13 over and over. I have done new plugs, coils, timing, factory turbos, exhaust manifolds, all sensors. I checked for leaks and see none. It does not throw a code at all, It is getting quite annoying trying to figure out. i even drilled the 1/16 hole for condensation. I also have been reading form after form checking all and double checking with no solution. i am just at a loss and am about at witts end. I am hoping someone else has had this issue and has figured it out.

I plugged in my scan too and did a scan of all modules I seen in the pcm there is a stored code for wastegate solenoid a high. Which solenoid is a? The top or the driver or the passenger side? And would I have gotten that by unplugging it up top to check voltage while key on engine off?
Yes, that would be the one right on top of the intake.

Yea I cleared the code and it never came back on so I’m guessing it was because I unplugged it to test voltage. I made an appointment with the dealer to reprogram the pcm hoping that fixes it but I got my vacuum line today and going to replace them all this evening

You can also take a look at the BPV diaphragms on the turbos. They are more robust than the 13+ eBOV, but can still rip with age.

I could see the factory ones ripping but would a brand new one have been ripped new. It happened before I did new turbos and after new turbos
So update I replaced all the vacuum lines and went ahead and replaced the top solenoid went out and drove it. Hit the gas and same thing still surging…. Got an appointment with the dealer next week still, just hoping this would have fixed it…
Are you able to watch vacuum as your boost cycles? Curious if there is any correlation in the readings
I can’t watch vacuum and boost at the same time wish I could

They're the same. Either your engine is in boost, or vacuum. Wastegate actuators, or the solenoid that drives them?

OP claims all thats new… were the parts FoMoCo or other?

Turbos, wastegates, bov are aftermarket oem style, solenoids are factory. Map sensors are standard ignition. I have an appointment with ford in the am to get the ecm reflagged with all the updated stuff if there is any. If any of you got another idea I could do tonight let me know.

You’re probably gonna hear that the non motorcraft parts may be to blame… here on the forum that is

Well the standard isnition parts had the same manufacturing name on the sensors a the factory ones and just got it back from the dealer with no luck still does it. But now I hear more of a blow off and was smelling exhaust at idle could a bad turbo flange gasket cause my op issue
Ok so I got it home tonight and pulled the inner fender of the drivers side the top boot was torn I mean huge hole at the turbo. Is that the hot or cold side? And also will that cause a boost surging issue if it is the air inlet? I checked all the plastics for cracks and couldn’t find anything so idk what else it could be. I did order a full tube set from cvf this evening and paid the 150.00 for next day shipping because of the holiday coming up. Oh I did have one more question, up on the intake the back port that feeds the wg is that fitting in the intake loose? Or suppose to be tight?

The top large tube coming out of the turbo is the outlet, or hot side. The cold side is the large tube coming out of the intercooler to the throttle body. The one going into the center of your turbo from the air filter is the turbo intake pipe. Not sure about the intake fitting.

Oh so this massive whole could be a problem then lol. I thought the top was the air intake. I even tore it down last night and for some reason thought the same thing then that the top was cold side. I put a picture a post up from yours with that fitting

There's cold side, hot side, and air intake. Air intake runs from air filter to turbo. Hot side runs from turbo to intercooler. Cold side runs from intercooler to throttle body.

Yes
Ok but as far as the vacuum port on the back left of the intake that goes to the canister and wg, is yours slightly loose by chance? If not I may need to buy and intake but the ones I can find don’t come with that port
