2013 F150, my brake warning light started coming on in a strange way. It would flicker like a bad connection then slowly just stay on.(about 10 mins of driving) Sometimes in the wet, it would flicker while driving. I have replaced the master and the low fluid switch tests fine. The switch at the foot brake pedal also bench tested fine and when I take the park brake off the beeper stops (tell tale sign the switch is good) My problem is the brake light on the dash is on all the time. Seems like a ground issue or wiring issue as I don't think there are any other areas in the circuit to fail. Maybe I'm missing something. Hoping someone may have had this issue and found a solution.

Thanks Mike

Try pulling the parking brake lever up. If it goes away, then you know where the issue lies. They loosen up over time.
I've shimmed my parking brake switch.
Good luck.

I'm not talking about the switch itself... If there is too much slack on the ebrake pedal when it's released, it will not make full contact with the switch, and cause the light to turn on.
Try this, with the parking brake released pull up on the pedal and see if the light goes out.

Good luck.

I always bleed out the calipers but would is there a link between the caliper/wheel speed sensor and the light?? I can't make the connection looking at the schematic......let me know because this is my best lead and what I was thinking but I just cant see how the two would be connected electrically. Thanks!!

Don’t know of hydraulic or electrical connects to the speed sensor. However most Youtube’s stress damage to the ABS controller if bleeder is not cracked when collapsing caliper pistons. I’d be inclined to flush the system as a next step.

Thanks, The strange thing with my issue iis lts the Park Brake warning light is on. In most cases isee involving the abs controller/module the abs light is on. My fluid is good, new with the replacement master. Again because it came on with a flicker and then finally stayed on full time (and did this multiple times over about 2 weeks) it really leads me to think wiring or ground issue but I can't find where the circuit grounds. There's only 2 switches in the circuit I can see. 1) the switch at the foot pedal 2) the low fluid sensor /switch in the master. It looked like a trailer light flickering with a bad wire connection. (if that helps)

Agree w/ you. Wet symptom event helps confirm a connector/ ground/ harness issue. I don’t have access to wire diagram or PCM interface. I have heard of moisture issues at the PCM connectors (2).
Simple enough to disconnect and spray w/ electronic cleaner as a cleaner/safe water displaced. Assuming brake harness interfaces w/ it.

Thanks for the reply!!! The article brought something up I never thought of, the low pressure issue. Maybe I have an issue with the vacuum pressure going to the system, I'll look into this tomorrow. The turbos do have a mechanical vac pump and plastic fittings to the master .......brakes still feel good but still could have low pressure.
