Two way sticky tape on the bottom of radio bezel to filler panel is what surprisingly holds strong and hides gap.

The console trucks have a filler panel that matches the console and has the Microsoft Sync badge on it. It looks like a door but it snaps into place with the same clips the rest of the trim uses. Our non console trucks don’t have the holes that it clips into. I got some small neodymium magnets and attached it with then. It looks totally stock.

You are correct. They are riv nuts. M8 for reference. The holes are empty in the non console trucks. I did install the riv nuts and used the M8 bolts that came out of the donor truck.
I didn’t want to cut my carpet to see if the riv nuts were there. Thanks for the verification. I also didn’t use that bracket and it‘s real secure with all the other attachments.

I took a pic of the carpet from the donor truck and cut my carpet to match. I don’t plan on ever going back to the jump seat so I wasn’t that concerned about cutting the carpet. And no, the riv nuts are not there. Just empty holes.

I did put M8 riv nuts in so it’s mounted like from the factory now.

Looks like a 2015+ console in that pic. Not sure how it will fit your 2011.
The picture I provided was from the net and yes a newer model. I got an console from a 2013. I grabbed the trim pieces either side of radio, under dash, even found a plastic insert the I can epoxy in to fill the shifter area
