99% sure I've never actually seen one of these. I have an 05 Explorer with very similar body style and the small tweaks are messing with my eyes. Like when you see butt implants on skinny thighs... its so close to being normal/ familiar, but somethings different.

They aren't common for sure and they only made them for a few years I believe. It has the 4-valve Mach 1 4.6 in it and seems to actually scoot OK for a 15 year old tank.

I'll spend some time on it this weekend figuring out what doesn't work on it and needs some attention.

Not much happening on the truck, but spent some time polishing the Lincoln today. Just had time to do the drivers side today. M101, then M205 and finished with Meguiars Fast Finish.

Awesome work! My second thoughts when I saw it the first time was "man I want to polish that thing so bad, would be such a great turn around" My CDO is very pleased to see these results. Would you mind posting an overall pic when you finish it?

What machine and pads did you use? And have you used the fast finish before? I have not but it seems easy to apply and I've read 6-12 months of durability.

Huge thanks to Ryan for working out a engine build with me. Top notch service and I'm excited to get my grubby little hands on it once it's built.

Now I play the waiting game...
Care to share??? Waiting means we plenty of time to disclose all the deets ;)

The paint is far from perfect still, but looks very, very good compared to before. I didn't get any time to spend on it today, but hoping I can do a few "night shifts" on it this week to finish up the paint before I get to the interior. I'll get up some pics as progress is made.

I used a Rupes Bigfoot and a Orange Lake country Pad with the M101 and then a Orange "AIO" Super Buff pad with the M205.

the Fast Finish goes on crazy easy. I've only down my truck and the Wife's Edge with it, but it's only been a couple of months. It's holding up pretty well so far.

I just can't say how awesome Ryan has been to work with. He knows this was a unexpected hit to the pocket book and has worked with me on finding the right balance of Performance/Reliability/Value.

Basically a complete Long Block build, but nothing crazy.

- Forged Pistons and Rods
- Mild Ported Heads, stock valves and upgraded springs
- Closed Deck Block
- Gen 2 Crank

I'm sure as we make progress, Ryan will post up some engine porn.

Crazy work week and no time to touch the Lincoln other than drive it. Needed a break and decided to take next week off. Hope to swap back in the stock CAC and Exhaust on the truck and then drop it off at the dealer. They want to get me a "warranty" motor or at least try. The goal would be to have them swap in the RMB motor instead of the one that comes from Ford. Not sure if it will work, but since it takes time to get anything covered under warranty and I'm a few weeks out on the motor from Ryan, it's worth the shot!

Wish me luck boys, I could use some these days.

Intercooler and winch pulled last night and the DP’s and cat-back pulled today.

It certainly is a bit of a long shot to get Ford to cover it, but gotta try. It would be pretty awesome if it worked out.

Well, the truck made it to Calgary (600 miles away from home). The dealer thinks either I'm nuts for driving it or nuts for thinking something is wrong with the motor. But trust me, something is broken in the bottom end.

They will start ripping it apart in two weeks and hopefully I'll have a motor from Mr. Brown in their hands by the end of the month to install. Gonna do a Circle D converter at the same time as I think it's a smart upgrade while in there.

Really anxious about my truck being in someone else's hands, I would prefer to do the engine swap myself but just don't have the time or resources around home to do it.

Good luck!
It's a great plan, but a potential scheduling dance on the edge.

These are complicated pieces of equipment.

Totally agree, but in the end it will all work out and I'll have a kick-ass truck to play with in the end.

I will just have to take a page from the "book of Bruce" and be patient.

Can ya do it?

I PROMISE if you can lic that one demon, so much about this thing we do (life) gets far easier!

And I agree, that will be a great truck!

Well, if it tells you anything, this was meant to be a leveled and Tune ONLY truck until warranty ran out. I have a history of messing with stuff more than the average bear, but had thought for some strange reason that this truck was going to be different..

Anyway, guess I'm married to this truck now...unless I'm looking for a divorce, lol.

Gotta say how awesome it has been working with Ryan on this project. A few minor tweaks to the formula, but the dude knows what he's talking about. He has continued to put up with my random texts and questions in trying to squeeze what we can out of a pretty strict budget.

I wish the CDN dollar didn't suck so bad right now. If this was a few years ago with a dollar at par, we would have had about 35% more fun, lol.

I only wish he could clone himself once or twice. He'd have a crew then so one could get some R&R while the other(s) were burning the candle.

I wonder if he actually sleeps.

Only thing I can figure, is that he has mastered the "Power Nap" :p
