I started out with a new 2014 FX4 Screw luxury pack in Blue flame. 7200# GVW, 3:55's. Pretty much all options other than Max tow and Apperance pack. Built in November of 2014 and I bought it March of 2015.

Bought the truck from family that work at a dealer, great deal as I was able to get it for less than used. Downside is it was 600miles away. Thankfully, my Uncle delivered it for me.

I had them put 3M on the bumper and do a Spray in liner. They did a great job with both.
Window Sticker

Day I got it.

I already had a 2" AS level for it that I put in a couple of days later
Before

After

The kit came with a 3" rear block, but I figured it would put too much rake back in for my taste.
on level ground, it measures perfectly level. I would have liked a bit of rake, but I address that later on...much later.

Full Race down pipes ordered. Added the ceramic coating and hope to see them in the next 3 weeks!

I'll get these on and hopefully Dyno-tuned and call it a day performance wise. Only other thing I really want to do is put hard-pipes on, but they can wait.

Only other bigger upgrade I would like to do is to get fox coil-overs on the front. The rest is just small cosmetic stuff.

Full Race DP's will be here Thursday. May take Friday off, just so I can install them.

Pretty much gonna run them for a little while and then when work calms down. Then, I'll put it all back to stock and take it in to see if they will do the transmission.

No Shzt....they cut down a peanut forest to pack mine....they do a fantastic job packing and wrapping each pipe. Waiting to get mine back from ceramic coating:) I am putting all new O2 sensors on as well. Have 100,000 miles so it is time. Still work but will not be as efficient/reliable as new ones. Have everything pulled apart best time to do it. Why wouldn't you want a new tune to use the best input from new sensors? I just dumped a bunch of money on DPs and new Cat Back and then cheap out on using old crap in the system? Not for me!

Down pipes installed last Sunday. Wow, I sure am liking the sound of the turbo's. Unfortunately, I wake up the kid in the morning when I go to fire it up for work. So I'll be throwing the stock cat-back on this weekend and see how that combo works.

I will also have to do a bit more adjusting of the DP's to get them in a better spot. They are too close to the frame at the "Y" with where I have them now. Should be a pretty easy tweak.

Overall, they were a bit of a pain to install. The really tough part was getting the O2 sensors out of the old down-pipes. I bought a new set, but @ $400 with my discount, I wanted to be able to return them. Thankfully, I found the sensor tool in the bottom of my tool box and was able to get the original ones out.

Do you feel a power gain? Seat o the pants

I put the stock cat-back on the truck as the wife thought it was too loud. I would start it up in the garage and it wakes the wee one.

It's just too quiet, so I'm going to have to explore some options or just figure out a custom set-up.

The stock cat-back also killed some power, you can tell right off the bottom that it isn't as responsive.

Also threw a check-engine light for the rear O2's, so that means the vibrant extenders didn't do the trick. Maybe I'll try swapping out the insert. I would like to get them to work instead of trying to fix it in the tune. It would allow me to run the stock tune if I had to.

What insert did you initially put in? Was going to use the medium (middle) size when I get everything to go.

Just change your muffler itself then. Or put the resonator delete pipe in.

I bought this https://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&k...cmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9026231&hvtargid=kwd-3588025425&ref=pd_sl_9giegw8ai3_e and deleted the resonator. I had a muffler shop install a 3" flange at the y pipe, replace the stock 2.5" flex with 3" and run all 3" pipe. Basically every piece of pipe and fitting from the Y pipe to the back of the muffler is still there as it was from the factory just in 3". I just deleted the resonator. It isn't much louder than stock.
Did the exact same thing except deleted the muffler and kept the resonator contrary to most things I have read. I absolutely love the sound. I highly recommend playing around with combinations of some 3" and the stock components. I have tried offroad downpipes mated to the stock catback. I've tried offroad downpipes mated to full 3" all the way back deleting muffler and res (way too obnoxious for me). So I put the muffler back on. Wasn't satisfied so I pulled it back off and put only the resonator on. I think it's perfect for what I was after.

Also, to the OP I have the exact same 3-4 upshift whine/slip noise you have. I haven't heard of others having this problem before could you by chance point me in the right direction to research that TSB? Or tell me what kind of additive to try? Thanks!

I would suggest swapping the stock muffler out with the Magnaflow 12579. I’ve ran catless downpipes with stock catback with and without resonator as well as this Magnaflow currently with res delete. IMO it is much better for flow and mellow sound than the stock muffler. No raspy ricer sounds at WOT like with the stock cat back. Cold start up is similar to stock noise levels with downpipes, maybe even a little be quieter since the sound is much deeper and mellow now.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate it.

Looks like I will probably go that route, easy and should give me the volume and tone I'm looking for.

I ran a pair of those on my Mustang, so familiar with the volume change.

Edit: Magnaflow mufflers, not that particular model on my Mustang.

Good news! Well, I had a pretty interesting conversation with a Ford drive-line tech. I went to the dealer yesterday to grab a oil filter and the tech happened to be at the parts counter. He saw my truck outside and wanted to check it out.

After some compliments and pointing out his identical truck (when mine was stock) in the parking lot, he asked if there was anything I didn't like about the truck. I told him about the 3-4 or 4-3 shift noise. He brought up the additive right away and I let him know I already added it. He asked how much and I let him know I followed the instructions in the TSB (9-10ml). He found in his experience that it wasn't enough and he added the entire amount (16ml) as you would if you experienced tranny shudder. I thanked him and said I would bring the truck in for warranty if that didn't resolve it. He said he would make sure nothing was "flagged" as long I set the tune back to stock and took the DP's off. Nice guy. I thanked him and headed home.

So, I added the rest of the additive and after a cruise to work and back, I can't get it to make the noise anymore. So I'm crossing my fingers that I won't have to mess with the tranny for a while. I had a chance to take it on the hwy, and so far so good.

Also, ordered up fox 2.0 coil-overs. Pretty good deal IMO, $650 US Brand new.

Crawled under the truck and swapped out the "medium" Vibrant extender plugs for the larger ones. Hoping this will keep the CEL from popping up. I was getting a "slow to respond" (P103A).

Happy Thanksgiving to all the US peeps out there!

Totally forgot to post some pics, ha.

All well, I'll post some up when they are installed.

Just ordered up a set of RCI skid plates in aluminum. They'll just be raw as I didn't want to pony up the cash for a coating that will be scrapped off anyway.

Kicking around the idea of a winch again. I want to add one, but think it wouldn't be used very much. I think I need to get the Exhaust sorted out first, still thinking on that...

Not much else I want to do other than minor cosmetic mods, so it will be starting to get back into save mode. Then I'll decide on a payment free truck with a RMB motor or a new Raptor. Fun times!

How much did the coil overs and plates cost shipped up here to canuckistan? Or did you cross border shop em?

Could you enlighten @Blown F-150 of the part number for that drain valve. I tried looking it up through them and it says "Sorry, it seems like Ford used a yellow proprietary plug on this one :(. You'll most likely only be able to use that plug." which is incorrect because I have changed the oil multiple times and its a 15mm bolt

Edit: Think I found it by searching 2014 instead of 2016 http://www.fumotooildrainvalve.com/f107sx.html
