At around 79k miles I had the torque converter replaced at the Ford dealership. RPM surging about 100-200 rpms going @ 70 mph. It has a 2 year warranty.
At 4500 miles later, It's starting to have the same issue again. RPM surge just a bit. This time I notice it at 55 mph. Not a lot but definitely starting to occur.
Lady at the dealership stated that she;s seen new converters bad out of the box from Ford.
Called around today to see trade in value and price of a new GMC Sierra. Well, appears I'm keeping the Ford.
Anyone know of a good quality after market torque converter?
Truck is 100% stock. Want the new converter to be just like the Ford converter but just not be a piece of sh1t.
