I could not find any threads with people posting pics of the new led headlight output pics. How do these lights perform? Are they better than the 13-14 Factory HID lights? Just curious.

They out preform the factory HID's IMO. The light output seems to be more focused.
Not night and difference however it is upgrade.

After having halogens forever, I love my HID, can't imagine something even better. If it truly is better, might have to attempt a retrofit. [emoji41]

Leds are definitely brighter than the hids! Dont have a side by side yet but should have one soon. 15 vs 13.

Retrofitted HID's trump all ;D

As far as headlights are concerned, yes.

I installed LED headlights in my 12 - far better performance than the halogens and HIDs.
LED headlights for forward lighting have been around for a few years... Very nice for night time driving.
I work at a Fire Department and our trucks have the 4x6 LED headlights from JW Speaker. Those make a huge difference for night driving!

Are you referring to running them in a non-projected housing? This is something that should not be done, and does not take advantage of the increased luminosity of either type of light.

When running a projected setup, HID's will out distance LED by several hundred meters. I'm a huge fan of LED lighting, but they're just not on HID levels yet.

The LED light is projected very well. I have had this setup in my previous F150's as well and it has worked out nicely. The light goes exactly where its needed and has no scatter. I am looking for LED bulbs for my fog lights so that they are similar in color.

I'll take it that you've never owned a vehicle with a good set of projectors. Running them in a halogen housing scatters the light rather than projecting it. Consequently, you can see well in the foreground, but not so at distance. Also, it's a hazard to oncoming traffic.

For your fog lights, I'd recommend either morimoto's xb fog housings, or a set of the DOT Rigids. Personally, I run the Rigids as I have an aftermarket bumper. Those coupled with my upgraded OEM HID's allows me to see very well at night.

I have run projectors - my 13 Shelby and 13 SHO have HID headlights and i don't care for them. I have never been a fan of HID and have also had bad luck with them. They are very finicky and don't like on/off, high/low cycles. Again, just my bad experience.
I love my LED headlights and this setup is the only thing that allows me to see well at night. Oncoming traffic has never had an issue with them in the years i have used them. They are great in all weather - rain, snow, ice and fog. Never an issue in all the hours of use, and light up exactly what they need to.

High/Low on projectors are controlled just by a flap that drops out when activated. It doesn't effect the bulb. These new ones are pretty robust compared to what they were a few years ago.

I'm a huge fan of both types, but I prefer HID for driving lights. Off road, nothing but Rigid LEDs on my rig.

The pictures i posted above are low beams and no fog lights. You can see how well they work. I am very, very happy with them and they are true plug and play.
