The new LEDs are nice, a very focused beam and good projection. I will say this is the first vehicle I've had with automatic highbeams, and it tripped me out the first time they kicked on and off by themselves.

I dont think the 2014 HID's are all they great. They are decent but not great. I just did a retrofit into my Jeep Liberty with morimoto D2S projectors and they make the ones in the F150 look silly. The Morimoto's have a much more uniform beam pattern, and they dont have as much stray light shooting off in random directions(especially in hi mode).

Yeah, the OEM projectors aren't that great. Most people bolt in a set of Evo x-r projectors. Even dispersion, great cutoff, and probably one of he best high beams around.

I've used the Mori D2S projectors in other projects, and they definitely out class the stocks.

I have run projectors - my 13 Shelby and 13 SHO have HID headlights and i don't care for them. I have never been a fan of HID and have also had bad luck with them. They are very finicky and don't like on/off, high/low cycles. Again, just my bad experience.
I love my LED headlights and this setup is the only thing that allows me to see well at night. Oncoming traffic has never had an issue with them in the years i have used them. They are great in all weather - rain, snow, ice and fog. Never an issue in all the hours of use, and light up exactly what they need to.

The HID's in my 2014 Shelby GT500 arent even close to the LEDs in my 15 Platinum...driving in this truck with the LEDs is amazing
