2018 downshifting

I have a 2018 with the 3.5 and just went on a trip from Wisconsin to Tennessee and back. I had some very harsh shifts from 10th to 6th after cruising on the highway for extended periods. Basically, cruising along for 30 minutes or so, then hitting the throttle to speed up to get around someone, it would slam into 6th from 10th. One time I noticed the traction control light come on. If I immediately tried the same thing, it would shift fine. It only happened after cruising for an extended period of time.

Mine does exactly the same thing. Mine's also very harsh D-R or R-D at random times... feels like I hit something. Haven't fought the battle with the dealer yet.
I've noticed this, but only if I shift slowly from R to D or pause in N for a brief second. If I slide directly into D or R from either, it's fine for me.
