Oh Snap----- Gone is the White ECO in the sig (1st boost and 1st love!) and on to a Brand New 2019 Magma Red FX4 Max Tow with many many features.... I'll post the sheet later.

Well! I ended up getting the truck.....Lol With rebates and dealer discounts it was $37,113 Sale Price that had an MSRP $53,245. My out the door after tax-lic-misc fee's was $41,098....... Was very hard to say no as you can see

And I already took the side stickers off the bed........ Windows get tinted Wed next week...

Didn’t see this thread and I asked the color in the other thread. I can’t really put my finger on the color, is it maroon? Is it a brown? Does it have a purple hue to it. What would you call it if someone couldn’t see it and didn’t know what Magma is supposed to look like.
All of the above colors, depends on the lighting and shading...... I really like it

Time to give it my own hand cleaning and rub down..... Dealers attempt was ok, but time for a deep clean inside and out from its owner......

I'll snap some pics later to post to officially start the transformation !!!!

Well......

Got the chrome badges blacked out, much better. Why Ford didn't do this with the sport appearance package is beyond me.

good illustration of when the sun goes down the truck kinda turns black..... can see the blacked out emblems as well

Here is a couple of shots of the interior

Going to sit down and order the tunes tonight.... Think I will go with GH again first.... just loved the 6spd trans performance from Matt tunes and I hope he can get this 10spd to do the same...

Thoughts on who to tune the new ride? Are all the major players tuning the 19's

What did you black the badges out with? Love the truck. When you figure out the tuning situation send me a PM I'm interested in giving it a go with my truck as well.
I used plasti dip, did my last F-150 (in sig below) with the stuff as well, stood up for a couple of years with no issues.....

16k off sticker and that is not factoring in your trade at all?

I love Ford, but that is a horrible name for the paint. Just stick with maroon Ford like us normal folk will call it, lol. I haven't seen maroon in a long time, manufacturers don't seem to make that any more.
Do not worry about the trade... it worked out extremely well on that end too : )

I seen all the invoices and hold back as well... to make their monthly bonus, x2 I was the last vehicle... They hit the most vehicles sold over all three of the dealerships owned....

I got an additional $2500 trade in bonus for trading in a ford and a return customer..... Basically I approached them for a STX and the Internet Manager said they had one vehicle that just came off the truck with a large hold back, so they where willing to deal this vehicle to make the sell... I had to put a $500 deposit that night (day before I picked it up) to get them to qualify for the bonus bonus as they called it... I worked on the phone with them til 9pm, they faxed over a due bill, I signed, scanned back and sent the deposit. Done deal just how I have played it out for all of you... Only reason why I bought it!!!

They gave me $27.300 for the trade..... Basically on CL and in Auto Trader for my area my traded truck was selling private for $27-30,000 private or dealers..... I think I did pretty damn good. I was told (not sure how true) they had one of their ford technicians already lined up to purchase my trade...... They took pictures and sent to him while I was there and in front of me said, any special things to know about the truck, we just sold it to an employee.

Let me ask all of you... thoughts on keeping the stock wheels? I really do like them, just think maybe it needs some wider tires....... What would be the max size for the stock wheel?

I too have the Magma Red. Mine is the King Ranch with all options. Assuming you have the 20” wheels since it has max tow. I know for a fact you can fit 285\60’s on them. Going to need a 2.5” leveling lift on the struts. I went with the Toyo Hybrid RT tires.

Wasn’t crazy about the color when I purchased but It grew on me. I call it Black Cherry more than any other color.

Congrats on your purchase.

So, the GH tunes are in.... Had a little scare as the 1st attempt to load the tunes ended in a error and unsuccessful load..... 2nd attempt, the tunes took and had a chance to take for a rife and do a few 0-100 pulls........ seems pretty strong, and definitely pulls harder from 40-100mph than the 15........ Still getting used ott he 10 spd feel.... mat the tune feels really good.... Only track will tell the full story over the 15....

Like my white 2015, I hated the wimpy little exhaust pipes and or the one pipe on one side look... Always been like that..

So I shortened the pipe, removed the chrome tip and went with a black tip tucked under the truck....... cleaned up the back, look wise

well, debated posting but I am going to any ways..... the GH tunes are in and I am not overly impressed at all..... Its not much more of a difference over the stock tune actually... although the Trans performance is greatly improved, it drives nice and the truck has no lag, which is better than the stock tune and the turn around/customer service was amazing, as always.

I unloaded the GH tune and did some hits with stock tune... did the same with loaded GH tunes again.... I will say it is stronger than stock.... but not what I would have expected given my 2015 and how it ran..... I guess the track will be the true sign....... will get there in the next couple of weeks

Certainly give it some time to make sure you're OAR has had time to adjust. I'm looking forward to seeing how it does on the track.
Me too!

Should throw one of them canned tunes on just to see if there's a significant difference.

No mention of what fuel you have in the tank?

Still on the same tank of fuel the dealer gave, so no doubt its the lowest octane.... about ready to fill this massive tank (36 gallons) up with some respectable Octane and see if she will open up her other eye and wake up a tad more.

I'm not sure there would be any appreciable difference between my 18 and your 19?

So that would be a very odd and unexpected conclusion. Unless the tune isn't the same. Mine might be different than the emailed tune since it was tweaked on Matt's dyno. But "tweaked" would be the appropriate word.

Or to put it another way, it's hard to hide nearly a 100HP?

The only other explanation is that perhaps Ford has adjusted the stock tune on the 19's?But wouldn't they be bragging about an increase in performance?

The final thought would be that the GearHead tune, in my opinion, is far less "dramatic" in how it puts the power down than my 5* tune(s). Although the peak power numbers are not really much different, the personality IS very different. I would even be willing to say the "Fun factor" is more pronounced in the 5* tunes. Kinda hooligan, if you will.

Regardless, that's quite an unexpected response for any of the tunes from any of the known tuners these days. Even canned tunes are now mature for Gen2 and folks report them as substantial. :)

These newer trucks are crazy performance machines. Are we getting jaded? Lol

^ completely agree and you all know I am a huge GH supporter, my GH 2015 tune was amazing and fared well at the track..... But maybe my expectations where more (higher) or maybe the 19's are tuned that well from the factory, but there wasn't that much of a difference in "seat of my pants" feeling over when the truck was running the stock tune vs. the GH tune when the foot was in it...

More seat time, better fuel and the track..... And I will go from there
