Well guess I'll scratch them off the list. They don't have tunes for 2019 3.5 for ngauge device, only SCT BDX (only 17-18 3.5 for ngauge)

FYI for anyone else with a 2019 using ngauge.

oh well, I’ll spend that money on other goodies, luckily I have amazing tunes as it is.

That’s what I was thinking as well, will be interesting to see since the Ngauge is going away.

I thought they do offer 17-20 with the Ngauge?

The link says 17-18 but the page says 17-20. Wouldn’t hurt to give Lars or Garret a call.

If so, be sure to point out to Larz that the website AIN'T RIGHT. I might be mistaken, but that then allows Larz to give Matt crap about the "technology" side of GHTuning? Lol

Larz and Garrett do all the work.

their email reply back said no support for 2019 3.5 with ngauge and that I would need to get an SCT BDX if I wanted a tune

Thanks for posting that. I had a long conversation with Mat about this ^ stuff and some other aspects of his tunes for the trucks with aftermarket intercoolers and his tuning set ups.......... Why I am super loyal to his tunes..... For me, I haven't had to watch my data screen at all, actually I have removed it.......
I've noticed idle RPM's are down in park and drive at a stop light. Used to be between 650-675 in park, now it's between 600-625ish. In drive at a light it's down around 525-550ish. Another thing I like is that boost doesn't come on so hard and fast which allows the truck to actually get some traction at a dig. (I'm 2 wheel drive ). But climbs and holds with great acceleration and smooth power. I love my 5* tunes also but the boost kicks on so hard and fast even after hooking up the truck will break traction and get squirrelly hitting 21psi.

5* raises the idle rpms. Stock idle is 625 Neutral/Park and 580 Drive. No reason to really touch the idle rpms.
Makes sense, they seemed high with 5* tunes so they must be back to stock with GH, I haven't ran stock for a few yrs now

I had 5 star change mine to the stock RPMs. also they have it to where the boost doesn’t kick in right away it gradually climbs. I can drive around town and hardly be in boost depending on how aggressive I am on the throttle as well.

Agreed. Mat keeps the boost down but does other wizard stuff to make the power that the majority of the dedicated octane tunes make in the end ....

So I've been in talks with 5* the last couple weeks and asked if they could send me a "custom" adaptive tune revision with all my mods and today my inbox had a Adaptive V2 tune in there for me. I got the adaptive tune last Christmas when they were giving away a free tune, ran it for a while before going with the 91 perf and 91 tow/perf tunes. I'm going to run the GH AOT for a while and get real familiar with it before I test the 5* V2 adaptive tune to compare. They did not charge for the revised tune

Got the truck back from the dealer, leak to the timing cover fixed and the seats are getting warm again!

The dealer did a clean job, I inspected it and everything is back in place, like it wasn't touched

Glad to hear the truck is good.

Question for you, what made you go with Airbags over the Timbrens? Noticeable different?

Air adjustability and the bumps are not as jarring, more so when loaded in the back

Awesome news

I’m interested how that timing cover weep repair holds up for you, I’m not gonna say why because I don’t wanna jinx anyone LOL but definitely curious after another 10,000 miles or so.

Thought I would start the journey and document the claims of Calibrated Power Inc Tuning aka Duramax Tuner. I am very familiar with their tunes and ran them on my Duramax Diesels, to include the track truck. Nick makes some clean powerful Diesel Tunes and is one of the industry best. I have zero concerns and am confident his tunes for the Eco Boost are going to be safe and powerful. This largely based on his years of tuning knowledge with other platforms and his top notch customer service.

I was glad to see a few months ago that he is offering the tunes for the Eco Boost but like many very skeptical since I was so comfortable with the Gearhead G H tunes and 5* and knw they have clean, safe powerful tunes.

Introducing EcoBoost Tuning for the F150 and Raptor from Calibrated Power Solutions home of DuramaxTuner.com! The EcoBoost platform has interested CPS since they were offered in the F150. While our focus for the past decade-plus has been the diesel truck market, we love torque - big turbocharger electronically controlled torque curves are our bread and butter.

The R&D team here worked hard to push the market by adding the same refined caliber of support we offer in the diesel industry. Hitting the horsepower and torque numbers is important. However, balancing that performance with so that the package delivers power will all the refinement and dependability you expect out of your truck. This means matching the power delivery to the shift schedule and torque converter lockup strategy so that your new-found torque makes it directly to the tires.

That’s why we're proud to offer a wide range of supported trucks, and available tuning files, on EZ Lynk, nGauge and MPVI2 hardware for the 3.5L EcoBoost found in the 2011-2020 F150 and the 2.7L in the 2015-2020 F150, as well as the 3.5L in the 2017-2020 Raptor.

Flex Tuning & SMART Files with TCM Tuning

E-85 blended fuel compatibility no longer requires a massive fuel system overhaul for many of these trucks. Through extensive calibration and road testing, we can now unlock your trucks' ability to measure and immediately adjust for blends of ethanol from 0-45% in factory trim (2015+ 3.5L) and even straight E85 in 2017+ 2.7L trucks. Our SMART Files make this possible by utilizing OEM sensors and understanding the factory algorithms used to calculate the ethanol content.

TCM tuning from CPS allows you to take full advantage of the meaty torque curve on tap with our engine tuning. Our goal is to use your new-found torque to keep average engine RPM down which maximizes operating efficiency and fuel mileage (especially while towing). Gaining speed on the highway no longer requires a downshift to raise RPM for extra power, instead you'll find your tuned Ecoboost able to hold the gear it's in and pull effortlessly through the rev range. Under heavy load, you'll feel the extra bite in the shifts offered by line pressure raised to match your power level. You'll also feel the torque converter lockup as the turbos build boost, allowing the truck to put all of its power to the road without any of the parasitic waste previously experienced with simple hydraulic coupling. All Ecoboost support packs from CPS include TCM tuning.

2011-2014 (No Ethanol blend support)

2015-2016 2.7/3.5 (Ethanol blends up to 45% with factory hardware); Higher blends compatible with higher capacity fuel pumps

2017-2020 2.7 (Ethanol blends up to 85% with factory hardware)

2017-2020 3.5L (Ethanol blends up to 45% with factory hardware); Higher blends compatible with higher capacity fuel pumps

Transmission Tuning Strategy

As power and torque are increased, transmission line pressure and torque converter engagement pressures are raised to competently handle the load. At low load and part throttle, the truck still shifts nice and smooth like the factory, while at higher loads you'll notice a firmer engagement. We're careful not to ruin the refinement and comfort that makes the platform such a great daily driver. Whether daily driving in town to lugging a load up a steep grade, your transmission tune is going to make a huge difference in how well the truck uses its extra power. Every Ecoboost support pack includes transmission tuning.

Flex Tow

-Designed for towing. All temperature and torque reductions are in place to keep the trucks' powertrain protected from thermal overload and abuse. CPS does not recommend towing over the GVWR of the vehicle and expects the driver to use good judgment to avoid abusing the vehicle with the extra power. Situations like full-throttle starts and excessive lugging in manual mode can and will cause parts degradation.

Built for towing while running any Octane gasoline with E0 - E30 ethanol content. The use of higher octane fuel will support more power, torque, and better mileage.

E Tow

-Designed for towing with Ethanol blended fuel (E30-E45 recommended).

Built for towing while running any Octane gasoline blended with E85 for E30 - E45 ethanol content. The use of higher octane fuel will support more power, torque, and better mileage.

Flex Sport

- The Sport tune is your go-to daily driver file. This is the best balance of performance, reliability, and economy for daily use. The file has loosened up torque limits and more power than the tow tune, but with most of the relevant safety features still enabled. This tune is not designed to be used for towing. It’s intended to be used without a load behind it.

Built for routine unloaded use running any Octane gasoline with E0 - E30 ethanol content. The use of higher octane fuel will support more power, torque, and better mileage.

Built for routine unloaded use running any Octane gasoline blended with E85 for E30 - E45 ethanol content. The use of higher octane fuel will support more power, torque, and better mileage.

Flex Race

-The Race tune is your max effort file supporting a leaner fuel curve, mostly removed torque protection and significantly looser thermal limits for optimized power. High Flow downpipes and intakes are recommended for Race files. We also recommend the use of an upgraded fuel pump in the tank such as the Deatchwerks 400 or similar to avoid power loss from fuel system limitations.

This is the max effort tune while running 91-93 gasoline with E0 - E30 ethanol content

High Flow downpipes and intakes are recommended for Race files. Tow Tunes are designed just for that, towing.

High Flow downpipes and intakes are recommended for Race files. We also recommend the use of an upgraded fuel pump in the tank such as the Deatchwerks 400 or similar to avoid power loss from fuel system limitations. More power is usually available in these files by using an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump as well.

The Ethanol specific tunes (2015+ model year) are the same logic but we are able to take advantage of the higher octane and cooling benefits of E30-E45 fuel by starting with a more advanced timing curve and revised air-fuel curves in each file. Best performance is generally a balance between fuel system ability and octane rating. The higher the ethanol content in the fuel system, the higher the octane, but the more fuel system capacity is required as the system requires more fuel volume to make the same power when ethanol concentration increases. With Ethanol, we highly recommend running a Deatchwerks 400 or similar fuel pump at a minimum. Intakes, charger air pipes, intercooler & downpipes will all benefit the truck while running the Race-Ethanol (or the Race-Flex) file.

If you’re interested in running straight E85 at full power you’ll want to consider an upgraded pump in-tank and an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump. If your truck is modified beyond the descriptions above and you’re unsure which tune file best fits the application please call us. Our team at CPS is happy to help coach you through this process.

Our EcoBoost Tuner & Support Pack allows you to safely increase the horsepower and torque of your truck! Our extensive testing has provided us industry-leading horsepower numbers and reliability results. We spent the time on the dyno, on the street, and at the track, so we know you're truck is going to run the best it ever has!

We've also developed these features:

  • Tune Only Flex-Fuel Conversion (see details below to verify your model offers this feature)
  • Realtime Adaptive Octane Tuning
  • Custom Transmission Tuning Included
  • Wider Effective Torque Curve

So, you all remember the ^ info I put up about ordering the EZ Lynk and calibrated power (aka Dmaxtuner) F-150 tunes.

1st off they are in, loaded the ECM and TCM tunes. I will say this, why other tuners don't use this system is beyond me. Simple plug in the Ez Lynk Auto Agent 2.) connect to your phone and access your tuners portal. Confirm your vehicle and load the tunes. It took 4 minutes to load both the ECM and the TCM tunes combined. Thats it. Done!

I had all the tunes abovea vailble and 3 separate TCM tunes

I loaded the E Sport and the mildly TCM tune. He gives you wife and friend friendly, mildly and Aggressive for the TCM files.

The ECM tune took 2 min and the TCM the same to load and the entire process from start to start the vehicle was just under 6 min

Look at the at ime on the screen. Selecting the TCM tune at 4:43 and 99% at 4:45...... took the ECM tune the same time frame.

170231

170232

I went and filled up with a mixture of E85 and 91 octane. I am sitting at E27-30 by my calculation and E85 Tester

Just letting the truck settle in and learn. Will get a good drive in tomorrow on my commute to and from work and then later in the afternoon give some little command to it and see how she feels

I put a lot of miles on the calibrated power tune today.. Freeway, hills, mountain roads, in town, full pulls....... I will take a few more days but I am going to say the EZ Lynk Auto Agent 2.0 and iPhone combo is amazing. Now The ECM tune and the TCM tune, don;t want to call it so soon, But the combo is a serious contender in many ways.
