Just did a draggy and data log for Torrie, for Rev 2, on E50. Just need to see what Torrie says about the log..... my look at it, appears to be good still, definitely the fuel pressure is still good.

The draggy for the 2nd attempt of the day leaving at 3k

This was the second 1/4 attempt of the day as the 1st was slower at 12.79 with 4.65 0-60 didn't launch hard 2400/500 ish

Must have been pulling pretty dang hard because it still went a 12.54 with a 4.28 0-60. Imagine what you will do with a 3.9 0-60

My tires might be too big for a dip onto the 3s for 0-60...... Lol but hey, that would be cool....

Lol...... well rev 3 for Torrie (same day service again) got me to surpass my goal I wanted...... 12.50 or better (12.46) 1/4 mile

Loaded the revision and drove for 15 miles to learn

Then the results of two runs,,,,,,,, and look at that trap speed....... she be rolling on the big end

The log looked great,,, no fuel pressure issues and very little to no knock concern from my view point, but I am by no means the expert

Full Disclaimer, from day one of purchasing this truck the goal was a daily driver, stock turbo 12.50 sec (or faster) 1/4 mile ecobeast looking and sitting to my liking!!!! I made it!

Ok, now that I have the two best times from a dedicated E50 tune and an adaptive fuel tune E30/40, same mods for both tuners but different tire sizes and weight .... here are the results

E50 Unleashed vis SCT X4 @ E49 Blend _ Draggy Time

1.83 60ft
4.22 Sec 0-60 MPH
8.00 Sec @ 88.09 MPH - 1/8 Mile
10.41 Sec @ 101.22 MPH - 1000ft
12.46 Sec @109.57 MPH - 1/4 Mile

Tire Size for ^ are 305/55r20 Nitto terra Grapplers G2 (50.53lbs) 33.23 x 12.44 (18lbs Heavier Total Turning Mass)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Calibrated Powers (Duramax Tuner) Adaptive E30/40 Tune @ E40 Blend via Auto Agent Ez Lynk 2.0 . Best is below (12.54) but ran a bunch of 12.60-5(low) runs with the smaller 275/65r20 tires and I think the best run/time with the larger tires above, the 305/55r20 was 12.71 I believe

Actual Track Slip

1.81 60ft
4.25 Sec 0-60 MPH
7.99 Sec @ 86.91 MPH - 1/18 Mile
10.51 Sec @ 99.09 MPH - 1000 ft
12.54 Sec @ 108.08 MPH - 1/4 Mile

Should be noted the tire size for this ^ was 275/60r20 Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain (46lbs) 32.99 x 10.98 (18lbs Less Weight Total Turning Mass)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any guesses as to what the time in the 1/4 mile might have been with the unleashed tune and the lighter tires shorter height?

And for those that doubt a auto octane adaptative tune can't perform with a dedicated tune... at least really close to, you might want to think again!

Awesome results!!

I would guess that you could shave close to 2 10ths with stock tires if they hooked.

With anything 2017+, a AO tune should be fairly close to a dedicated tune as you can impact spark and boost based on fuel quality. Now there is still something to be able to be said about a dedicated tune that has a narrower fuel quality window as most tuners feel more comfortable tuning mow power out of it as there is simply less variables.

Now seeing those times, I’m gonna try and beat them with the ST on e30. We’ll see how it compares, lol.

On to Rev 4 with Torrie from unleashed...... Likes the logs, now we are down to maybe this one and another for minor tweaks he said. I think he wants to make minor timing and boost changes in a couple areas from what I understand from the email .....

I will load the tune soon but we are now in a few days of some weather, so a log will probably take a few days if not more looking at the extended forecast

Was in town at the hardware store and decided to walk next door to the Napa that has been in town for 30 years, and seem to always have what I need or can get it next day.... To my surprise they had a set of the NGK Ruthenium HX LTR7BHX 95605. They are one step colder, so I will be replacing the Ford Performance M-12405-35T also a one step colder plug.

After countless hours of forum, internet and other researching, I think for me and for many reasons, the NGK plugs are pretty darn good in my mind ,,,,, far less issues than the Motorcraft GT plugs and I am sold on the fact they are a better plug at this point

I would be careful going too cold of a plug. The FP plugs are already one step colder than stock. Even a heavily modified F-150 will not meet the cylinder pressures seen in the Ford GT.

Edit: I read that wrong. You should be fine tho. I am also weary of those “tabs” breaking off.

There’s a reason I run oem ford plugs.

Yes, there are 2 types. The "pillows/tabs" were designed for forced induction engines. Gotta admit that I have wondered if these could pop off.

Yes, they look like the PSPE.......

I can tell you one thing, by far the idle is smoother than the plugs I took out, the Ford Performance ... time will tell

I feel you, but I am going by what the tuner(s) suggest, given the tune, the E Content and so forth.....

So, an interesting day,,,,,,,

Started with the plug change, which by the way takes me like 20 min now....Lol

Out with Ford Performance and in with the NGK 95605,,,, All the plugs I took out looked good, looked identical.... So that is good

Then, while I was doing the plugs I noticed the MAF one the intake tub (COBB Intake) was sitting slightly side was and down I guess... so I pushed in and twisted it to lock and let go, and it fell back into the funky position again. Took the MAF out, it looks good, not broken at the base or anything, Put back in and twisted it to lock, and it was fine,,,, After I drove it for a few miles, checked it and, dang, sitting funny again, I am going to call COBB tomorrow morning.... In the mean time, good ole American Engineering Zip Ties.... Keeping the MAF Snug in place

Them since I switched to full synthetic at 60k, from the Motorcraft synthetic blend, I wanted to do a change in between the 5k mile intervals, So I did another full 5/30 synthetic change at 62800, even though I am not do for a change until 65k..... Makes me fell better to really flush and be 100% synthetic (Lol in my mind anyways), And while I was there, I decided it was a good time to install the Fumoto Drain Valve I had since the week after I did the last drain. Every 5 k oil changes since day 1!!!!, And by they way, since switching to full synthetic, for sure this ecoboost is quieter at start up..... and Idle outside of the wastegate rattle,

Hood Gas Motor vehicle Tints and shades Automotive exhaust

And from reading the post yesterday about the wastegate rattle, I went ahead and installed the 2 Hillman 543183 Springs from Lowe's, Not a fan of connecting the spring to the oil feed line, but the spring doesn't have a lot of tension, so I think it will be ok, I will be really focused on how it sounds in the morning during a cold start and warm up session, I have had the rattle for about 25k, goes away once warm, but at drive thru and at idle by walls, I can still hear the wastegate rattle, just not as bad as it is when cold...
