My truck originally came with the TINY 235/75/17 tires. I bought a dealer take off set of FX4 20's with the stock pirellis and they are going to need replacing soon. I want to do the 2.5 inch level and install a set of 275/65/20 BFG ko2 tires. My question is will this slow the truck down a ton from the larger tires? I looked at a rear gear ratio calculator and it looks like it would drop it down from a 3:31 to 3:01 ratio with the bigger tires.
I noticed that the truck lost some of its pep when going to the 20's from the 17's. I don't tow much but it seems like a recipe for a major power loss with bigger tires with aggressive tread or am I over thinking it?
truck is 100% stock other than a 91 octane unleashed tune.
