Here's a project I've been working on, and has been attempted by others. Gen1 V-band flanges to get rid of the bolted nonsense that Ford engineered. As any mechanic will tell you, studs can be quite the pain to deal with, especially on high mileage vehicles.

These measure out to 12.7% larger than stock flanges and even 2% larger than most aftermarket ones, eclipsed only by the AMS flanges. The benefit comes from the flange itself, making for a convenient maintenance part.

EDIT: for clarity
The flanges themselves are one piece, machined from 4140 currently, as stainless is costly.

This is awesome.

Question for you, how hard would it be to make a set of “raptor style” downpipes for the 2.7L so we can run SPD performance’s trombone pipe and have that equal length exhaust?

I used a set of FullRace downpipes to lay these ones up for my gen1, but stock ones would work too, if anyone near me has a set to spare 🤣

Yeah, see they would need to be a 2.7L downpipe, then cut the downpipe where it y connects together, then make it exactly like the raptor downpipe where there’s two separate pipes, then you’d need a trombone pipe there too so you could line it up properly. I really dig that equal length sound, and when I asked SPD if they were going to make it for the 2.7 they said not for a while

What do the equal length down pipes look like? That does seem interesting to run and the sound would be much better

great idea! If you need more, I have a few miscellaneous downpipe pipes we used for displays. I was saving them as backups for my truck but can sell the pieces at a big discount if you needed piping for vband mods

That's certainly easier than making my own as seen above 🤣. Someone here was wanting me to make some for a 2.7 though.

On that subject, what O2 sensor extensions do you guys use, if you are allowed to answer that.
