dirt roads are fine, but i would avoid using it if you don't have to. you're just causing extra wear. even in winter time i don't use 4h or 4a, unless the roads are really bad and im unable to gain traction.

4lo would be used for like pulling a boat out of the water, or someone out of the ditch... or crawling (which i don't know why you would in a truck)
