im getting ready to order/add remote start to my 12 screw. i called the dealer and priced the remote start unit and they said something about maybe needing a hood latch switch. but most likely wont need it..

can someone explain what the hood latch switch is?

with out the hood latch switch i can get it for 350 installed.

I added remote start to my truck myself and my truck already had the hood switch.

What is the hood switch for tho? Y is it you may not it. Or may not.

Its a kill switch when the truck is running to prevent injury underhood
