While under the truck to check out the trailer connection, I noticed a lot of rusting on my 2011 model. Is this normal? Seems to be an awful lot of rusting going on down there. The truck has barely 25,000 miles.

There are several spray products on the market that will stop this. They are rust converters and will stop the spread and turn the rust black in the process. First out there was Duro Extend but there are several others out now as well. Clean the surface free of oils, salt, dirt etc and spray liberally with the product. After 24 hours you can top coat with enamel paint to make it look pretty again.

Thanks...will try. It's only got 24K miles on it. Any chance this is covered by warranty?

the salt that the city/state puts down would cause this if left on your truck and it stays wet for a period of time
