Thanks...will try. It's only got 24K miles on it. Any chance this is covered by warranty?There are several spray products on the market that will stop this. They are rust converters and will stop the spread and turn the rust black in the process. First out there was Duro Extend but there are several others out now as well. Clean the surface free of oils, salt, dirt etc and spray liberally with the product. After 24 hours you can top coat with enamel paint to make it look pretty again.
How about an after photo?I took the truck to Ziebart and had them apply rust protection, for $200. Everything looks nice and clean now.
I don't know the metallurgical terms but that's not BS. TXDot has stopped spending the money to paint steel bridge beams and are relying on this to protect the steel.Now here's something interesting. The rusting is normal and designed to protect rusting? BS or is this what's going on in my truck?
