Well as most of you know and some don't. I like to test new go fast parts that come out on the market. I have been in talks with AMR for the last 8 months about the new intercooler they have been bringing to market for out boost trucks. Well the time came that AMR let me pull the trigger!! As far as I know I am the only one who has one besides AMR test truck. It shows up at the house and I am pumped! The packaging was top notch very very well packaged. I opened it up and it hit m this is a top grade kit nothing like this on the market! From the red racing pipes to the top quality clams I knew AMR was not playing around here. I like chrome as most know and AMR has the option for polished out well I had to have the polished out to match my chrome! After I get everything out I get to the intercooler beautiful is the first thing that came to my mind and badass!!!

If you look it looks like a lot of parts well it completely replaces everything hot pipes charge pipe. And it changes the flow. Stock flows from right to left. AMR flow ls from left to right. All clamps came already attached to the couplers. That is a plus the dummies it down so no mistakes. Installation is straight forward. Take out the stock hot pipes remove intercooler. Install AMR kit. To be honest the hardest part about this install was taking the wimpy looking stock hot pipes out . Ford has these things snaked all jacked up in the engine bay. The stock pipes could fit inside the AMR pipes.

Well the intercooler is a beast really a beast. This is the largest intercooler on the market 5" and it fits in stock locations to boot!

And the polished look is icing on the cake just that added touch!
I like how this uses the stock bov. But I hate that canister that the EBOV attaches. So I cut the canister off. And let me tell you the EBOV sings now.


AMR also did a fine job for the IAT before the throttle body has everything thing on one spot to hook up. Also nice feather is a added plate to tap for meth. Next on my list!

Now to the goods. Take all the stock stuff out. Easy not going to go into detail about this. But remove air box lid vacuum lines hot pipes and CAC.
Now start the install. Below are picks of the install.

I want to personally thank Albert and Robert at AMR. You all have truly created and engineered the finest and the biggest intercooler on the market for the boost trucks! And giving me the opportunity to run and test this beast!!
I will get some logs and compare from past logs and see how this big boy does. Also will be posting a few more pics of how the pipes run and how the bov mounts up.

I like the AMR better. You get everything you need a complete kit turbo pipes charge pipe intercooler everything!!

Interesting - The AMR intercooler system sits in factory location. Unlike competitors, whose intercooler systems sit in front of the oil cooler and radiator causing extensive air flow and cool down restrictions due to the intercooler blocking proper air travel as the factory intended.


- so basically the guys who put top mount coolers on are actually hurting their truck. Probably slower also.


guess that settles that. FoMoCo actually engineered something proper.

You may see $1899.
But I see intercoolers on the market cost $900-$1500 and then when new hot pipes come out they will range from $600-$900. So I feel that you are getting everything for a great price starting out. Plus you do it all at one time and get it done with.

This intercooler is insane!! I was waiting for big boosted to get this to see how the installation was and the quality. He sent me detailed pics, and all I can say is Wow!!! I'm buying one the first of April hopefully.
You guys gotta think, $1800 is for the biggest and best quality intercooler, including new turbo piping. So really not that bad. Don't know about the rest of you but I only buy the best for my truck.

It is a pretty penny. The way I look at it is an intercooler of this magnitude is gonna be over 1300 by itself. The charge pipe 250 without a discount. And piping and couplers another 6-700. And that doesn't get it polished or powder coated. Now look at what you've spent.

I agree with the fact that for an intercooler + charge pipe setup it's cost effective. I could be convinced to sell them if you guys wanted them. It's hard to justify $1899 mentally (or whatever it is) but if you guy charge pipes at $700+ and then $1200 for intercooler and you're right there so then it's reasonable. It's always hard to spend $1900 in a lump sum though...
