Anybody running IWE delete?

I just started having trouble with my IWE's. I did all kinds of research and am convinced that I want to eliminate. I found the Dorman 600-405 and have already ordered these and am curious if anyone else is running deleted and how it is going for them long term and which choice they are using.

I didn't make any changes to mine... it's just a failure. I still have stock IWEs. But the noise is exactly what you described. In fact, I honestly thought it was tires - I was about to do some tire and suspension work (Michelin LTX A/T2s in 275/60R20, Bilstein 5100s all around, new HDPP springs up front to compensate for front bumper) and I accelerated that a bit thinking that the Hankook tires, which were nearing legal limit, were the noise culprit. Not so much.
Well, I ordered them. Update coming.
The new Moog hubs are installed, it sounds almost the same as the original hubs.
Around the 12 second mark the phone was moved near floorboard, you can kind of hear it a bit more.

Disregard the lights on the dash, I tore a speed sensor wire replacing the hub.
Thoughts gents?
Note that if one IWE is engaged, but the other isn't, it creates a different noise than say a partially engaged IWE makes.

Is it suggesting that only one of my IWE deletes isn't working? When the new hubs were installed they both had a positive "lock"/engagement going on when the wheels where removed, CV axle and hub turned at same rate with no noises present. I also applied grease to the shafts, hub bearings, ect.

When turning lock to lock, absolutely silent, mpg at cruising is similar, acceleration mpg definitely took a hit, there aren't any hot metal smells or anything out the ordinary when driving it for any extended time. Everything was double checked last night and today when the wheel speed sensor wire was fixed.

So, I'm at a loss. Maybe it sounds normal and I'm just used to the dead silence of 2wd..
I promise I wasn't implying anything, but rather attempting to maybe eliminate possible noise makers related to front drivetrain components.
I could be hard of hearing, of course, but I don't hear my front drivetrain when in 4A, which is mostly engaged IWE's but without power being transferred to the front. I CAN feel a difference in the steering wheel, as if it is weighted just a bit more, but even that could be described as subtle to the average person.

I know, you're very diplomatic. A lot gets lost in written word, mine was trying to understand the bulletin.
Recently watched "bad axle bearing" videos, mine doesn't sound anything like those. Until it starts doing it more or louder, I guess everything will be presumed normal?
You sure your tires are good? Your sure your CV's are good?

Tires were replaced 10k ago, CV axles, IWEs, brakes, Front diff fluid, t case fluid, transmission fluid , and rear diff fluid all done last week. both hubs replaced last night.
My main concern is the diff or r case will try qualifying as astronauts in the near future.
I say just freaking drive it.

Sit rep:
Took out the dorman deletes, installed new oe ones. Still hear a humming. 4wd had the right side clicking, pulled off new CV shaft, more play than a child's toy, compared play with old one and it's worlds apart. New CV waiting to go back in until my motivation goes back up.
On a positive note, I'm getting really good at popping these on and off in minutes.

Thanks!

On another note, I towed with the vacuum deleted ones today and hated it. My 12' EMPTY trailer was showing 10mpg @ 65-70mph and 5-7psi of boost, 35 mile trip, saw temps of 224...14 ish and maybe 215 coolant is normal for this trip. These negatives coupled with, what I thought was a faulty transfer case or front diff, had me just going back to the stock set up.
Ok... OCD rant end.

Update:
Not a peep, new CV axle replacement of the new CV axle makes no noise.
Well, this was fun.

So the deletes are fine and axle was junk.

Tooks a lot of time $ and effort to get there.

I personally tow with mine deleted, never heard an extra peep. Don't feel any lag or lugging, not sure how you could the transfer case is not engaged.

Good luck!
He might have changed a lot of parts chasing that gremlin, but I could argue he just refreshed a high mileage truck properly and thoroughly.

I have a 15 passenger Van with just short of 170,000 miles. It's a little loose and rattly in the suspension up front and I'm fixing to just replace everything that is a wear item and be done with it.

Parts replaced on both sides: CV axle, IWE delete, hub, brake pads + rotors.
Parts swapped thinking things were messed up, passenger side CV axle (cause of the humming), OE iwe.
The only reason the oe iwe were swapped in, thought my diff or r case was on its way out, it was a temporary fix (didn't want to blow one up or have to fix it right now). But the OE ones are staying, towing with those deleted ones was not a good experience.

It's not that it's lugging, it did feel like a 16-18' trailer instead of 12'. But my temps were up higher and my mpg was trash, 10mpg is travel trailer territory.

That's exactly what was happening.
New fluids, new brakes, new front end bits, new truck feeling is restored.

Theres piece of mind in new chassis wear parts. Shouldnt have any major surprises.
