Anyone else here have a 2021/22 with a non functional auto start stop?
Mine stopped working over winter, and it was cold in NY that I just assumed it was because it was below a certain temp/engine not getting up to a certain operating temperature. Well now, we have had a few weeks of 50s/60s weather. It still has not worked.
I had brought this to the dealers attention when I brought it in for a recall in march. They said they ran tests(battery..etc and said no codes and battery was fine) and they repaired some pins in a wiring harness under the dash and that it was fi fixed now and operating properly. It was still a little cold then back in March so I wanted to wait 4-6 weeks to see if it was still a tempature related situation.
It's been a few weeks of the warmer weather. It still isn't working.
Well now I have 2 more recalls to address(3 in 8 months) I've been less than impressed with the amount of recalls this model year has had(11) and the amount my truck has been apart of(3). Plus the software issues that I had that they appear to have fixed with the reflash of some of the systems.
This is my first ford and at this rate, may be my last. Sad because I really do like this truck but I certainly don't want a long term money pit plagued with recalls/electrical issues.
Curious if anyone here has had a similar problem and a solution was found?
I know a lot of people(including myself) don't love the auto start stop, but I feel if it's apart of the vehicles system, it should work. I'm hoping it's not apart of another underlying unknown issue. I've seen a few others online(not this forum) mention they had similar issues with with ford's in general.
