Any issues with freezing / excessive condensation with catch cans in Northern climate. At 15 deg I have not had problems but in the middle of winter in Upper Michigan we go through extended stretches of sub zero temperatures. I am concerned that the mesh media could freeze up causing backpressure in the crank case.

Could, depending on if it is a small can or not, and how the PCV system is modified (or not).

If it is a mix of all the gunk, water/unburnt fuel/oil/sulfuric acid/etc. then it usually wont freeze solid, only to a slush and if it is a large can like the RX dual valve, or the even larger Monster can. there is always room for the hot PCV vapors to travel through the can and quickly heat it.

We have yet to see a can burst or deform in over 12 years and over 14,500 in use.
