I would like to share a little data I have ben working on for my 2013 f150 Ecoboost. I have compared the stock air box to a K&N filter insert and an AFE CAI with and with out SCT can tune. All runs were done on same day with in a few hours from start to finish using our Dynojet Dyno.

Also why I went with my solo, the one dyno I found had really good down low numbers. I don't want to lose a bit of low end to gain top end.
Exhaust would not be the way to go to maintain your low end. Add the AFE tb spacer for a little low end gain. There charge pipe will get you some high rpm gains.
