I'll have to check on next cold start, it's been so long since I've ran on stock tune with any of my trucks

Thanks Ike appreciate it. Curious as if it’s just a set RPM they prefer, unless there’s a reasoning behind it.

I have a Gen 1> 3.5, and the stock idle is around 450-500rpms idle (once it goes through its warm up phase)...maybe!
I adjusted that right a way on my 5* perf/tow tune! I like it around 850-875 idle and 750rpms in drive.
What about on cold start? What does it hover at for a few secs before dropping?

So found out this morning, Josh lowers it on most tunes as he found a lot of people complained about it being to loud on initial start up. But when actually cold outside it will still rev up high like stock.

The high RPM at cold start is to get that CATs warmed up. There isnt a reason to do it unless you are worried about the emissions during that window the cats are cold and it probably sucks down a little extra fuel.
