You ripped the three wires out of the crankcase pressure sensor? And want to replace them? But you already replaced the sensor too? I’m confused, sorry.

 

I accidentally pulled them out they slide in easy I need to know from left to right or right to left which color goes where pretty easy?

 

If it was easy you wouldn’t be here asking us for help, would you?
I have never seen three wires slip out of a connector. They are usually well pinned in.
Did your mechanic buddy suggest going to a parts store to see the wire sequence on a new sensor?
Take a picture of your sensor, clearly indicate which connector your asking about and I’ll go out to my truck and see if I can help you out.

 

When you look at the connector itself, are there 2 pins closer together and one pin alone?

Sorry, but appears to be different color codes.

I should be able to get it thanks I might be right already if so why am I throwing that code I just put a passenger side url catch can on it also never seen this on the first generation 3.5 .

 

Add catch can, then throw crankcase pressure codes.

Not exactly unheard of, and why the whole subject will never reach consensus.
Especially on a duel fuel Gen2 3.5 Ecoboost.

 

Well according to the diagram I have my wires back in the right spot all along I will unplug catch can to see if that's the issue

 

Surprised no one has asked if the new crank pressure sensor is OEM or other. Also, ditch the catch can (concensus achieved as far as i am concerned 😉)

Yeah it's OEM who yelled and the catch can even ford makes them. I'm sure when I get my tune's from Torrie he fix the engine light.

 

It’s possible the CC is effecting crankcase flow. That sensor is measuring vacuum in the crankcase In/Out of boost. Any modifications to the intake can also cause the sensor to read out of spec.

 

ok after a few months of working on stuff I am back to truck and I took catch can off and cleared code engine light comes back on

Have you fixed this yet? I did the exact same thing on my 2017 and have tried every wiring combo but keep throwing the code. I change the wires, reset CEL, start it(no code), drive it and code comes back. Before I put my new sensor on I want to make sure I have the wiring correct so I don’t wreck the new one.

P051D is strictly wiring or sensor failure.

 

So I did the same thing as you and wired it back IAW the picture and wiring diagram in this thread and now I have a P051B code. I have a 2017 3.5. I saw another post which showed the wiring order as yellow/green, Green/brown, yellow from left to right. Thoughts? Thanks.

Get me a connector number and I'll look in my big wiring diagram book for it.

after a year I have the same codes again..

 

I think its my wires going into pigtal I see lots of this sensor, I cant believe it would be bad again, but maybe it was not to begin with .. I yanked those small wires out a couple of times, they were bent over pretty good when I got the truck, there is not much wire to cut and solder back together or I guess I could add some wire in the cut.. anybody have some advise on that issue thanks ..
